Birthday BJ should suffice.

he already asked for that.

I just realized I could go get a piece of pie from a diner he likes. Then I don't have to make it, he still gets it on his birthday, and we won't have an entire pie in the house.

And then you can spend your time on "more important" things.

I was randomly wondering if an Alligator can mate with a Crocodile kind of like a Lion and Tiger can produce a Liger or a Tigon. Well the answer is no, and it's actually pretty interesting:

Even though they look very similar, crocodiles and alligators are not at all closely related genetically. They are classified in different families. Alligators are in Alligatoridae and crocodiles are in Crocodylidae. The Chinese alligator, though located about half a world away, is actually more closely related to the American alligator than either of them is to the American crocodile.

Alligators and crocodiles are in fact genetically less closely related to each other than a hawk is to a chicken, and less closely related to each other than an elephant is to a lion. They last shared a common ancestor before the dinosaurs became extinct, or more than 65 million years ago. They only look similar to each other because neither of them has changed much since they last shared a common ancestor. Even if they can mate, they won't because they don't recognize each other of the same species.

I have my own variation of the missed test dream occasionally. In it I show up to get on our bus and head out for RAGBRAI and realize I have failed to pack any clothes or forgot my tent or something else rather important. I can have this dream anytime of the year.

I used to travel frequently, and my recurring dream was taking off on the second leg of the trip and realizing I had not packed any business clothes for the trip or had forgotten my suitcase. I bet I had that once a month.

Years ago, after my company was sold to one in Chicago, we were mid-flight when I panicked because I had absolutely no idea what I had packed. I had been at a Super Bowl party the day before from 1:00 until 9:00 and packed when I got home. This was a five day trip, back in the days of suits and ties. Surprisingly, I had packed everything I needed.

The bad drivers I see are usually soccer moms driving a large SUV.

The ones on the phones who are all over the road and want to ram their vehicle up your *** because you are already going 7-10 over, but can't get out of their way fast enough.

And semi drivers.

My other recurring dream is I find myself back on my old aircraft carrier (I was a sailor way back when), and I'm asking myself "How the hell (actually a heavier expletive) did I get back on this thing? I know I was discharged!"

Birthday BJ should suffice. Best "dessert" you could give him.
