We met at a mutual friend's wedding in the Netherlands this summer. The bride is one of my best friends from undergrad and she met her husband while he was studying abroad at our college. My girlfriend met the groom in grad school. The wedding was really cool because the night before they had a happy hour at this really cool bar that they had rented space in. I had been chatting with some friends and looked over and saw her and thought "oh my god, who is that? I need to go talk to her." So I talked to her a little that night and then we were part of a big group of friends who were hanging out at the wedding. A few days after the wedding she messaged me, we started talking, and since then we've met in Madison and I've gone to chicago to see her.

She lives on the northside of Chicago but in Chicago proper. She's originally from the east coast but went to college in the midwest and now helps fund-raise for a non-profit. So a lot of grant writing and meeting with clients.

We actually met in Madison for our first date. I took her to the Wisconsin - Kent State game, but it was pouring down rain, so we left at half time. After that we just hung out, and grabbed food and drinks. And she has gorgeous brown eyes and an amazing smile.

We starting talking in August, went on our first date October 5th, and officially became boyfriend/girlfriend November 23.

Good complete answers. She does sound pretty amazing and you do seem to be off to a good start.

When are you going to introduce her to the rest of us?

I know it's hers for new people. I wasn't sure about new relationships. I probably stepped beyond where I should have stepped.
I mean, I think you’re fine. You just filled in for CG while she wasn’t here.

@WooBadger18, the big question - is she a Packers fan?
No, she’s an eagles fan, but i’m not a huge packers fan either.

Haha it may be a while.

Doesn't she already have one?

We have a golden retriever. My argument is mostly money and time right now with a very close third objection of our current golden was supposed to be her dog but it is more attached to me just like our first one so what's to say this next one won't as well.

Update:
Student did not turn in final project early. Instead, he nearly cried looking at his 0s for plagiarizing, and assumes that he's going to bomb the final project because he doesn't think he can write a paper.
So I agreed that he could retry on the zeroes, figuring that he can waste his time doing whatever he wants, because punting on the final project fails him anyway.

For those who need to know: Often, when your instructor/professor/whatever agrees to these things, we know that it doesn't matter, so you can do whatever you want.

Guessing she isn't interested in volunteering to help a small aviation non-profit fund raise?

The big question I had when in a couple long distance relationships was who's the one willing to move if/when it gets that serious. Just something to ponder.
