Love car commercials that highlight the lane deviation devices.
Need to keep your car in its lane? Pay attention to your driving.
BTW those have been shown to not even work when they would actually be useful like snowy roads.
I have mine shut off because it is too damn sensitive. It’s like MrsWx is always in the car with me complaining because I am within a foot or two of the line. Blind spot cameras and sensors on the other hand are awesome.
I don't get to see the movie till Sunday. Can you tell that there's a theme to my music this week.?![]()

My thought is that they become so dependent on those things that the first time they drive a car without them (most rental cars are not that decked out), they're an accident waiting to happen.I actually don't agree vs. blind spot sensors either.
People get a habit of not checking their blind spots and it's even less aware of space.
Same goes for auto brakes/front space stuff.
If someone doesn't know to brake or doesn't know to not follow closely behind a car and needs to be alerted of these things they shouldn't be driving.

I will let you tell my wife that she's losing her license. We don't have anything but backup sensors but, I swear I can read that long license number in fine print at the bottom of the sticker on the vehicles in front of us.
I think I'd be pumping that imaginary brake on the passenger side consistently if I rode with your wife.![]()
I don't drive particularly slow, but I absolutely hate tailgaters. People who refuse to observe a safe following distance should not be allowed to drive.I will let you tell my wife that she's losing her license. We don't have anything but backup sensors but, I swear I can read that long license number in fine print at the bottom of the sticker on the vehicles in front of us.
BTW, my wife is the one who backed up a vehicle we had just bought into another vehicle in our driveway and it has a backup camera.
With everything going on, we're probably going to have to wait another two weekends. Meh.
I had a rental car for a weekend that had the blind spot sensors, and it freaked me out at first. After the first day, it was a nice perk to have. Back-up cameras are also a nice perk, but I would NEVER solely rely on that while backing up.
