Random Thoughts IV

This was definitely my wife's feelings before we were married. It seemed like she would sleep in forever. Of course we were in separate beds because, premarital stuff and my 70 something parents could be on CF right now.

Side note: When my parents got an iPhone I asked my dad how he liked it. He replied, "It's great except we can't figure out how to dial with it, text with it, check emails or use the internet." I'm probably safe on CF.

That sounds like my parents. I had gotten them a smart phone a few years ago, because they are on my plan. They could not figure out how to answer a call to save their lives. I bought them a book to learn how to use it, which they never read. So in April, when my contract was finally up they got the most basic smart phone I could find.

Lets see if anyone can get this reference:

My cousin vinny, she's talking about her biological clock ticking, but I don't know the exact quote without looking it up.

Annnd, VBS craft days are done! All I have to do tomorrow is clean up. Only one really nutso kid, we didn't run out of sheep, and I had enough cotton balls and stick on googly eyes to put some back into the craft closet. (of course, that took a trip to walmart and one to Hy-Five for cotton balls, and one to Hobby Lobby and one to Michaels for eyeballs.) Related: 3 gigantic bags of cotton balls is a weird shopping list.

Jitterbug phones.

I will like anything that references Hy-Five, always, forever, amen.

Aren't parents and technology the best. There is so much good conversation with friends as everybody can relate to this.

By the way, I can't wait until I'm old(er) and can frustrate my kids because I don't know how to use the new devices that they just got me that use my brainwaves.

Favorite part of my cousin vinny

While we are on the parents and technology thing. So back in January before little Wx was born and we were still in Wichita my parents had bought an iPad so we could facetime with them and they could see the baby.

I had been gone all day at a aviation weather conference and they called me on my way home to inform me that they finally bought it after months of deliberating. When I got home I told my wife and said that they should be calling for help on setting it up. As soon as I said this they called and I spent the next two hours on the phone. After a while I got tired of them trying to explain the steps and just had them call us on Skype on the computer so they could hold it up and I could see it.

My dad and stepmom have 2 dogs 1 of which gets freaked out by storms. They purchased one of those Thunder shirts for dogs and say it really helps.

I thought about getting one of those but wondered how hard it would be to get it on him. I have enough trouble with his walking harness. And without that he just drags me all over town.

We have a co-worker leaving tomorrow. I know there is supposed to be lunch, supposedly. Yet. no other details have come. Bring my lunch or not to bring my lunch....
