Now all I have to do is hope that Daddy doesn't manage to fire some of them....

Glad things are working out. Having been around caretaker's enough with my grandpa they will just roll with the punches and ignore it.

Your dad doesn't happen to be Trump does he? ;)

I went 2 years ago to Yankees v Twins on the 4th. Talk about expensive! Really fun time tho. Being a Yankee fan has it's draw backs due to pricing. Went to Wrigley last year for cubs v Yanks, pricey too. Wrigley was less than impressive. Target field was awesome. Hit up Gleuck's (sp?).

Yank fan also. I miss having good seats. ISU classmate's brother was weight training coach for Yanks back in the day and she got us great seats. Sat with the Yankee players WAGs at the Dome.

Going further back, good seats at the old Met were never a problem. You could sit in the third base boxes for cheap since NO ONE came to games than. Check out the empty seats and how close I sat to get this photo.

Wow, that's crazy empty! I remember back in the early 80's going to The K in KC and being able to pick our seats. Always behind Yanks dugout.

I know you have mad skilz with the baking, Birdy...but I have to tell you that the small picture makes the cookie shape look like fat hands with extended middle fingers. MUCH better in the bigger version of the picture! :)
I can always use that cookie cutter for another purpose now. Anyone need some "FU" cookies, literally Birdy style? :)

She must have passed out before she could celebrate talking SNEDD into RT.

not quite, but I did go to bed. So many newbies! And I have yet to hear a first time expectant parent say, "yeah, I'm totally chill about it. Not worried at all, we're just going to wing it". Seems like terrified is the status quo.

Thankfully, NO!!! I am NOT related to "The Donald".

I think the hardest part is watching and hearing his cognitive skills disappear. The man was literally a rocket scientist, and now he's like a particularly obstinate adolescent with flashes to what he was.

It's cloudy & freakin' windy right now where I'm at. DSM shows cloudy, scattered Tboomers at 2 and again from 6-8. Consistently windy all day (10-12mph). Wind is almost as bad as rain. Son's wedding was windy; we were lucky the bride was facing into the wind because her long veil was blowing straight out from her head and slapping the maid of honor (who finally grabbed it & held it still!). We were in the front row & couldn't hear a word the preacher said, tho...

Was scanning some old slide earlier this week. Looked at this Reggie Jackson one and noticed the empty seats.

I don't know what is worse; a few years back having my mother mistake me for her brother Don (long deceased) and ask me when "mother" is coming home or visiting this week where she is in a vegetative state and I am positive she had no awareness I was even there.

Okay, previous post was downer, so:

Just heard noises outside and looked just in time to see three little boys and a dog running down my garden path. At least they stayed on the path. Flashback to small town Iowa when the other kids and I had the run of the neighborhood while playing army and run and chase games.

It is tough. My grandpa was a lead designer on the Palo nuclear power plant so I know exactly what you mean. Alzheimer's and dewatering nasty.

RTIV, I need your help. Where can I find high quality, cheap......wayfarer sunglasses?

Reminds me of the spam Facebook stuff I get from some folks in Iowa. "Oooh, look, really cheap BIG name glasses for super low prices!" I cannot believe that people forward these not knowing they are Chinese pirate sites that don't even make decent counterfeit copies.

6pm.com

I've purchased two pairs of real Oakley sunglasses from that site, $50 each. Otherwise my cheap sunglasses come from target.
