I took it to mean the ketchup was no longer in containers.
No the ketchup was not in any containers. I've seen people leave way bigger messes than what he did. It's not that big of a deal. And it was pretty stupid that they banned me and 5 other people. And apparently they took a picture of my license plate.

You know, you really are digging that hole deeper. For the record, it would be a big deal if you were the one getting paid a pittance to clean up after some petulant brat. And the fact that they took a picture of your plate tells me there's a lot more you aren't including, and that the staff at McDonald's probably has a completely different version.

How old are you?

Z happened upon a preschool cartoon and now asks for it. I don't know if littlest00 would like it, but it isn't girly themed as much as the lead person is a girl's family and her brother. Peppa Pig.
.

My son is a big Peppa fan. Not bad show as far as kids shows go. He watches them on YouTube, often in non-English.

You're not getting it, are you? Your friend was a d!ck. End of story.

17. After we were "banned" from the restaurant we were chilling in the parking lot for a while and they came out and told us to leave but we ignored them. And they took a picture of my plate for some reason.

They took the picture because at that point you were no longer a customer, and you were trespassing, and occupying space that paying customers could have used. I suggest the next time you create a disturbance and are told to leave, that you do so. You won't be very lucky explaining this story of yours to the police.

You're still a kid, so I'll back off. But take some advice...treat people with respect, and they will treat you with respect. You and your friend failed in that tonight.

Oh thank god. I thought you were my age.

and do we know this kid isn't bdk? seems like something he would do. Hey hoiball, do your parents own a hot tub?

Probably got your plate number because of, at the least, public disturbance and vandalism of the store. My guess is, there also was some threatening of the staff, by the sounds of what went down as well.

You and your friends are douchecanoes. Just because he could have done worse doesn't make it ok. I COULD murder a baby, but it doesn't make it ok if I just punched a baby in the face because it could have been worse.

And I'm pretty positive this is BDK.

Well, maybe I'm reading between the lines, but pouring ketchup all over everything seems like quite the escalation. It leads me to believe there was more to the story than we're hearing.

As for the free water, Hoiball, they still have to pay the employee to give you the cup, they also have to provide and maintain the fountain that contains the water, they pay for water service, and they purchased the cup. If they gave you free water, it was at a loss to them, and they did it because they were being nice. And now they have to buy more ketchup to replace what your friend wasted (without buying) and pay the employee to clean up your friend's mess. I'm not particularly sympathetic to your friend.
While I agree his friend was being a douschcanoe, this just seems like you're reaching for every single possible thing to make his friend look even worse.

Paying an employee to give you a cup? C'mon
This could've easily been avoided on many levels. Simply providing a cup for water and not acting like a child when you don't get your way.

True - I mentioned all of the things he didn't think about when he kept saying NBD...but I'm speaking from the POV of someone who used to be supervisory level in fast food back in the day, and dealt with "customers" like this. I worded it poorly, but yes - that employee IS getting paid, and if they are handing out cups, they ARE getting paid to do it, and the restaurant is getting nothing in return for their efforts. Each of the things I mentioned is true, and may seem petty...but they add up, and they affect a company's bottom line.

It was my experience that "customers" who wanted something for nothing failed to consider the cost to the restaurant, minor as those costs may seem. It was not so much to point out his friend's bad behavior (and his) as it was to get him to consider the possibilities. There's a balance between customer service above and beyond when talking about good PR and community relations, to be sure...but have you considered the possibility that this group of 5-6 kids (which was originally 2 when he began the story) may have come in, ordered very little food, and occupied tables for an extended period of time? The restaurant is there to serve food and get paid for it. They're not there to provide a "hang-out", either inside or in the parking lot. Loitering at the tables or in the lot can cost the restaurant money, as they often have to worry about bored (and spoiled) kids trashing things (pouring ketchup on tables & floors) or vandalizing the property - so someone has to keep an eye on them. While that employee is tasked with monitoring non-paying customers, s/he is being paid by the company and is not selling food (turning a profit for the company).

I don't think hoiball is evil incarnate, but I don't think he considers possible reasons WHY his friend wasn't given what he asked for, and I definitely don't think we heard ALL of the story.
