Random Thoughts IV

so, I generally don't like being one of those "their pain is worse than your pain" type of people, but I am tonight. Seeing the white trash relatives sobbing all over the news tonight because the cops were cleared in the (attempted)shooting of their relative (brother? I think?) who held his GF captive for two days, beat the **** out of her, tried drowning her in the WI river after seeing how bad she looked, then left to get weapons to kill her with, she escaped, he ran from the cops, shot at cops, then shot himself.

You know what? He was a piece of ****. Stop saying what a good person he was. He was not. This wasn't even a one time thing. He had beaten this woman before. You're welcome to your pain, but do it in private. He chose that path. You blabbering about how he was such a good man doesn't need to be on the news.

My feelings probably have a lot to do with the story this followed.

Must have missed that one.

Eh, could have been avoided it if they would have just gave him a free water cup. He could have done a lot worse. I'll go back tomorrow I doubt they'll do anything.

Well, it also could have been avoided if your buddy didn't decide to throw a tantrum over an admittedly poor customer service choice by McD's. As for the bolded part...yes, he could have, and he would have been a bigger jackwagon than he already is.

See, here's how this breaks down. Your buddy threw a toddler temper tantrum (well, fine, I'll make a mess) over this. In essence, if McD's (overarching evil corporation) does this...well...I'll do THIS. Except, McD's doesn't GAF that you did that, and honestly, they don't GAF if you never come back...you're one (paying) customer out of hundreds of millions. So you accomplished nothing. However, the person who had to clean up the mess (who almost certainly was not the person who didn't give him a cup)...well, he just ruined their night. And, then quite possibly that persons' co workers, as now they might be grumpy.

So, congratulations...you accomplished nothing, other than ruining the night of a person who probably gets paid very little to deal with self-important arseholes like your buddy all day.

Well, maybe I'm reading between the lines, but pouring ketchup all over everything seems like quite the escalation. It leads me to believe there was more to the story than we're hearing.

As for the free water, Hoiball, they still have to pay the employee to give you the cup, they also have to provide and maintain the fountain that contains the water, they pay for water service, and they purchased the cup. If they gave you free water, it was at a loss to them, and they did it because they were being nice. And now they have to buy more ketchup to replace what your friend wasted (without buying) and pay the employee to clean up your friend's mess. I'm not particularly sympathetic to your friend.

I assumed it was throwing ketchup packs.

If he was actually squirting ketchup all over, then he was being an even bigger douchecanoe than I originally thought.

Must have missed that one.

it happened early last month. They had some friend on that night too saying what a good guy he was. Tonight was about the cops being cleared. They had shot at him while he was in the car, but didn't hit him. Oh, I just looked it up. It was his ex-wife on tonight. She apparently tried to intervene during the car chase.

Oh, for pete's sake:

I'm in the mood to share some humor...trust me, it's worth watching to the end, even if the guy can't carry a tune in a bucket...

Oh, the cockatoo video reminds me...were you grocery shopping in Iowa City yesterday? Saw a gal about your age with a shirt on that said "Ask me about my cats".

Not really. They wouldn't give my friend a water cup so he threw ketch-up on the ground and tables.

I assumed it was throwing ketchup packs.

If he was actually squirting ketchup all over, then he was being an even bigger douchecanoe than I originally thought.

I took it to mean the ketchup was no longer in containers.

I didn't share cat videos - I'm branching out!!!!

And nope. But I do have a shirt I bought in Alaska that has a humongous mosquito on it that says "Bite me".
*whistling innocently as she walks away*
