landscaper showed up about 10 minutes after that. We had by that point called them and left a message and texted our manager asking for the direct line. He had said he would call them and the guy was on the phone when he got here. The bank and I both made it clear last week that **** MUST be done by Monday. And they did get us the draw documents faster than we thought - and I think that's really where we were tight because other agencies (title company and such) need time to process things.

The landscapers can stay and work all night for all I care at this point. I just knew they HAD to show up today or we were going to be in bad spot.


I think the point you need to get across is that it's them, and not you, that will be in the bad spot. There's zero reason for their delay to end up costing you money considering how long they've known what's up.

oh yeah, this would be all them. We've definitely been emphasizing that.
 
I had to spend 5 minutes convincing a patient today why it made more sense for her daughter to have a complete exam and buy a new pair of glasses for $10 versus just getting a new frame for her 3 year old lenses for free.

Just make sure it's YOU doing it. Last thing you need is DH getting all soft and telling them it's ok, and he understands, and that it's just a few thousand you guys will end up paying, and that it's not THAT much more over 20 years because he understands they get busy doing other stuff and can't do yours.
 
Also I was just informed by Ms A that her father is coming to town tomorrow to introduce us to her new 25 yr old step mom.

Ms A is 24.

There's no way I can be drunk enough for this by the time they show up.

DH is definitely not being like that on this. His text was going to be a lot harsher than I wanted. I asked him to dial it back. For all we knew the landscaper died or something. Not likely, but my point was ask for the number, make them aware that nothing is happening (which the manager can see, living two houses up), figure out what is going on, if we get any type of lackadaisical attitude then we go back with how are you planning to complete this by Monday.

As for me, it has been absolutely insane. My wife was on bedrest at home and the doctor ordered her to check in at the hospital last Thursday. After a few days there, and no luck bringing her blood prressure down, they ordered an emergency C-section on Monday and we had our son 1-month early. Now my wife finally got discharged yesterday, but my son will remain in the hospital for a couple more days, but I think he is almost ready to come home any day now. He is progressing great!

No ****. Its actually a pretty high end practice in CR. Which makes the cheapness of some people even more of a head scratcher. They exam and glasses were gonna be $360, $10 bucks after insurance. And she had to think about it.

I didnt mean any offense. Just sounds like how the parent's I work with think haha.
 
No you're good. I take offense when people walk into a place like ours and ***** about the prices. How much do people think **** costs?


Significantly less than is charged....but that's not the provider's problem, you guys are as ****ed as the customers. It's the luxottica monopoly. I wouldn't give you **** about it, because I know it's not you, but I think a lot of people don't realize, and think it's their providers that are the ones raping them.
 
My wireless internet keeps sporadically kicking on and off. It first when out late last night, and I though maybe something chewed through the cable (it runs underneath the house through the crawl space or whatever you call that) but then it came back on. Keeps kicking on and off all morning. Anybody have any idea what the deal may be?
 
Anyone remember what time hipster wedding starts? Incredibly muggy here in southern Iowa.

My old guy neighbor is on Medicare and Medicaid and they just keep giving him whoever the worst doctor there is in town. The latest one changed his meds all around in a way that the pharmacist put the hammer down on and called the doofus doctor about the screw-up.:rolleyes:

Call your service provider and talk to someone in a call center in India who will tell you it is your modem. :smile:

I called a bunch of times and finally got some nice gal in Texas that did more than recite BS back to me, did a little online test and said "something is wrong with the line, the signal is way degraded and it's not your modem". Turned out that squirrels had chewed the line in the alley behind my house and it would intermittently kinda short out.
