Oh so the other little drama for the wedding. I guess Thursday night they were going over who would sit at which family table at the reception. My other sister in-law is "dating" this guy (both of them are immature and won't break up...long story). Well she asked where he was sitting and when she found out he wasn't at a family table she suggested they fill the one remaining spot at a family table with him. The sister getting married just responded with "HE ISN'T FAMILY!"

So the other sister started crying and their mom tried to explain to the other one why that was rude and she just didn't care.

After my wife told me this I just looked at her and said "I am so happy I got the hot, rational one."

This is why assigned seating is dumb.

GT, congrats!

Wow hope Rum Brooklyn can sleep it off through the landscapers. More importantly, congrats to GTO. So happy everyone is OK.

Shoe size at 5'9" was 8 before pregnancy, then up a half size with each of first two babies. The nine pounder seemed to just flatten them out. Fortunately, did not gain any more shoe sizes with subsequent pregnancies or I would have my own skis.

As for me, it has been absolutely insane. My wife was on bedrest at home and the doctor ordered her to check in at the hospital last Thursday. After a few days there, and no luck bringing her blood prressure down, they ordered an emergency C-section on Monday and we had our son 1-month early. Now my wife finally got discharged yesterday, but my son will remain in the hospital for a couple more days, but I think he is almost ready to come home any day now. He is progressing great!

glad everyone is ok and congrats on the little guy!

yeah, I got my wish...........they did not show up at 7am. They did not come back yesterday and they are not here yet today. I'm wondering how they plan to mess with the time/space continuum to be done by Monday.

So, do you recognize this person? It was in the paper yesterday in an article on a documentary on her. Thought at first it was some Arabic or Bollywood actress or something since it was in the movie reviews.

Amy Winehouse as her even younger self. Saddest thing I probably see this weekend.

CG, at this point, I'd be having a talk with your construction manager outlining the implications of this delay if it goes past monday. Essentially, because if they miss it, your rate goes up, right? And that's over the life of the loan. Honestly, I'd talk to the bank and find out what that will cost you, and put it forthrightly with the builder saying that they've known of this problem for months, there is zero reason on your part why this should have happened, and if it happens, it will cost you thousands of dollars, with implications that could last 30 years...so every time you write that mortgage check, you will be reminded of how this got ****ed up, and know that it's costing you...a monthly reminder of this screwup. First, that's unacceptable, and you expect to be compensated for the cost, and second, does he want to take that chance with his reputation...to have a customer that gets a monthly reminder of this screwup?

landscaper showed up about 10 minutes after that. We had by that point called them and left a message and texted our manager asking for the direct line. He had said he would call them and the guy was on the phone when he got here. The bank and I both made it clear last week that **** MUST be done by Monday. And they did get us the draw documents faster than we thought - and I think that's really where we were tight because other agencies (title company and such) need time to process things.

The landscapers can stay and work all night for all I care at this point. I just knew they HAD to show up today or we were going to be in bad spot.
