I'm amazed at how few people know what May Day is. Nobody in Indiana knew it. I would have thought it was an Iowa thing until I saw it's marked on calendars.

I was full cognizant of the reflection issue! Damn thing is pretty shiny for 67 years old and it makes it hard to photo.

I have my bachelor part this weekend. Nothing too rowdy. Drinking and and Iowa Cubs game, then more drinking.

I'm wondering how I will hold up after drinking all day. Unfortunately I am not 24 anymore.

My last serious day drinking event was 2 yrs ago at the age of 28 and it took me about 2 days to recover.

Well, it looked like my student might have passed away in class, but he was just that tired. That would have been a terrible way to finish a semester.

Yeah, I'm a little nervous.

Just have to remember to hydrate throughout the day. I think the only non alcoholic beverage I had was any pool water I ingested during our pool flip cup relay games. Not a good idea in early July in New Orleans.
