If we can't blame something, how on earth will we show our anger and disgust? It makes me sick but not literally.

Noooooooooooooo I was about to literally be figuratively acting out the best scenes from:
first homeowner fail.
Late on the light payment.
I had set up automatic payments thinking it would work for the next billing cycle. Two weeks past the due date I'm noticing nothing came out. Call in to chat and because the option I selected was "pay 10 days after bill date" and I did so 12 days after the bill date......it never paid this month even though I did this like 5 days before the due date. Derp.
Good news, they don't charge late fees or interest. All I could think is great, somehow we'll take a giant credit ding the very day we are told we can lock our interest rate for the permanent loan.
Verified multiple times that we are good to go from here on out though.

My daughter's soccer team was throttled yesterday by the same team that destroyed them a month ago. On our way to the car, my daughter was a little sullen. It didn't help that it was cold, misting and windy.
We get in the car and my daughter goes, "Daddy, is it ok if I don't like the other team?"
Searching for the correct compassionate words, I replied, "Sure honey. I wouldn't like them either if they beat my butt like that."
Then we got ice cream.

My daughter was crying after getting beaten in the semifinals of their winter soccer league by a team that they handled pretty well in pool play. I told her to remember that feeling the next time she doesn't want to practice or get her touches in. Considering how much she has practiced since, I don't think what I said stuck.
They got out hustled but the sad thing about it was it wasn't her hustle that was the problem. I didn't want to go into that too much with her.
