The assemble comments make me wish Z would go to sleep and be able to sleep in her crib. I want to watch our new Winter Soldier DVD. Oh well :)

Starting to get myself mentally prepared for the mind numbing 8 hour drive back to CR tonight. Thank god for podcasts and satellite radio.

I only have 5.5 hours or so Friday to get to the Quad Cities.

At Thanksgiving my niece noted how "old people" don't like to drive long distance or at night. She was talking about and making excuses for people not driving down from Michigan and these were folks younger than me. So, okay, thanks for that!

I'm that guy in the office today. I brought in leftover corned beef and cabbage to heat up in the microwave.

I'm thinking tomorrow I'll bring in some leftover fish for lunch. For an afternoon snack, I'm going to put some microwave popcorn in there, set the timer at 6 minutes and leave.

Hadn't thought about that, but my leftover clam chowder may qualify as well. :)

No special tools needed but lots of stuff to remove, pain in the ***. Fortunately coolant, oil and battery are accessible without having to do this.

BTW, why people be all complaining about topics here, for cryin' out loud you posted about a burning car, that's way guy cool (would have been worthy of it's own thread if you had video!).

Speaking of this...I call it the "Tim Taylor" model of manliness...snorting and grunting and acting like certain things are not manly enough to be dealt with. I laugh at the men who love shows like Home Improvement, according to Jim, What about Raymond, etc...if you really pay attention to the male characters in those, they're always the bumbling idiot that gets saved by the savvy and cultured woman. I hate that the male figure in most of today's culture shows are either over-the-top knuckle draggers or milquetoast emos. Yes, I can change a diaper, yes, I can bake a cake, and I regularly cook and do laundry if it needs it, but I also change my own oil and rotate my own tires, I've replaced alternators, brakes, fan belts, spark plugs, etc. and if I felt it worth my time, I'd try my hand at rebuilding an engine.

Boxster, you'll be making time to do that. do you do 35-20-218-80? Or do you have shortcuts?

I imagine this forum as the place where all the banned stuff is allowed. Angie cursing up a storm, mj posting nudies, and mods calling out each other...

But, it's probably not nearly as fun as that...but without real info, my imagination just makes things up.

I picture it more as a place where all the mods have hip hop dance battles.

I've echoed this sentiment while my daughter has been watching the Disney channel. I realize they are targeted towards kids, but the fathers are almost always painted as an idiot or some controlling a-hole that has to see the error of his ways by having his kid disobey him.

Bring back Chuck.

For some reason I tend to overthink music lyrics to the point that it annoys me.

I'm sorry Adam Levine, but very few animals actually eat their prey alive.

If Adam Levine is wrong, my daughter doesn't want to be right.

He does seem like a likeable dude though. And while I don't like all of his stuff, he is pretty damn talented

I go 35W south than diagonal to Waterloo via 18/218 at Mason City than to 20 to 380 to 80. About 360 miles to my sisters house. Road trip back from Thanksgiving was 5:22 without stopping so made some good time at moving avg 69 mph. I usually at least stop for a weewee break and a java or soda.

Avg speed is down some since I slow down and flip a finger in the general direction of the U of I when I drive by Iowa City.

If you really want to stick it to Iowa ******, drive by with your engine on fire leaving a huge cloud of black smoke over that dump.

Just make sure to hang it out the passenger side, not the driver's...lest I think you might be directing it at me.

Hey...I'm just starting my shift...long ways to go.

4 YO was 'helping with dishes' today and put on the funniest bubble goatee I'd ever seen. Took a pic quick with my phone, but the flash washed it out so much you can't tell what's face and what's goatee. #whitepeopleproblems
