If you can find my house and confirm your CF identity, you'll get one of these in return. Recipe made 36 cupcakes. Don't need that many around.20150228_203054.jpg

Sorry, my phone likes to post pics the wrong way

Taking cans/bottles back is the worst.

I bulk recycle now. Gave up entirely on taking things back to point of sale. Recycling center gives me large bags and a box to put them in, when the bags are full it's $12.75 worth of cans, no counting, no boxes.

My friend and I were actually just kind of talking about where we would be able to get big boxes tgat you describe.

Check near the receiving doors of the department stores around to see if they have a cardboard recycling container. Or, go the non-sneaky route and ask to talk to the receiving manager to see if they have boxes they'd be willing to give up. (Some large boxes do need to be held onto for shipping stuff back to the distribution center)

So, I'm watching The Music Man, and once again I'm "assaulted" by one of my pet peeves. An "aspiring" musician approaches Prof. Hill about problems he's having practicing with a piccolo. The youth demonstrates trying to play, but shows as if the piccolo is going to his left. It goes to the musician's right! (No wonder he'd be having problems) So either they totally flubbed it back in 1962, or the film negative was flipped.

Yeah, but when does the Wells Fargo wagon come into town?

If you are a "volume producer" it's the only way to go, and often time you are supporting+jobs for the developmentally disabled at many can redemption places. There's probably several redemption centers like that in Des Moines. I know of one SE of Des Moines in Carlisle: http://www.starkredemption.com/

Everyone is finally gone and we are on our own. One thing I could get used to is people bringing food over.

Sorry if you guys already covered this while I was away, but anybody else think that zrf dude is so stupid with his criticism of Fred that he is actually funny? His posts are so farcical they have become comedy.

He's gold.
Someone mentioned that they thought he was a junior high coach. I'm thinking he's a junior high assistant that can't get his shot at the big chair.

birthday party atta trampoline place. Not near as fun when ur not jumping and having to console the kid whose parents left him and he's bawling every 4 minutes.

What the heck is a wedding favor?

The junk you put on the table as "gifts" to those who come. 99% of the time it is Hershey Kisses. Although a friend of ours did a candy buffet thing...that was a nice change of pace.

Oh RING.....

A wedding favor is something a guest can take home to "remember" the wedding by. It could be something as simple as a small bag of candied almonds to a CD burned with some of the couples favorite songs.

Feeding them dinner isn't enough?

I kid. I kid.
