I have no idea which order is better, but the meat was thawed and I had to cut the onion up yet so it was about saving time for me, ha.

For me it comes down to two things:

1. Mrs. Velo likes likes the onions as inconspicuous as possible in the chili. It is interesting because she will put big hunks of onion on her hamburgers.

2. I the flavors of my chili ingredients to blend as much as possible. Getting the onion on board with the meat for as long as possible to start with helps. I actually think chili often tastes even better as leftovers because it has more time to marinate so to speak.

Why is Ali pronounced "Al-E" while Eli is pronounced "E-Lie"?

What if we started calling Ali's "A-lie" and Eli's "E-lee"?

Well Allie can also be "Al-ee" and Ellie can be "El-ee" so the same sounding name just by adding one letter. I bet there is a girl somewhere out there with the nickname or given name spelled Eli and called "El-ee" and not "E-lie". There are no hard/fast rules when it comes to names. It just depends on if you want to give a name that constantly has to be corrected or told how to pronounce it. With our first I liked Eva (but pronounced like Ava) but didn't want to deal with potential confusion.

I think it is most often pronounced like Ava, but assumed most would say Eve-a.

We have an Anna and with so much Frozen around our house I probably say "Ah-na" (like in the movie) more times in a day than "Ann-a". Confusing.

Meatloaf--yay or nay? I am making mini meat loaves (thing extra large meatball) tonight. Not a favorite meal of hubby's, so I only make them a few times a year. No onions or anything in it because I am the cook and I loathe onions with every fiber of my being.

Not that I'm complaining, but I've never been to Chick-Fil-A. So, how did they get my mailing address?

Aw man, I was just pricing flights to Hawaii for a potential rendezvous. One of my biggest character flaws is being a very picky eater.

Deal breaker. Girl gonna go into a fast food place and order it without such and such, or pick thru and push stuff aside, she out.

Hmm are you sure it isnt a gift from someone? I did that with itunes with my sister once. Sent her a gift card with a generic happy Bday message, not even thinking they wouldnt put my name on it. She had no clue who it was from.
