I feel awful!! Went over to mulch/bag my neighbors leaves yesterday. They just had Metronet install their line late last week and they told me about. I had moved it out of the way and was very vigilant about where it was at. I had put it up on a branch on their rose bush, but unfortunately a gust of wind came up and it fell off right in front of my mower. I just couldn't stop quick enough. Felt like it was in slow motion. Damn I felt horrible cutting it.

They called up customer service and they can get it fixed by tomorrow, but I’m still upset with myself for doing it. We even sat around and had a couple glasses of shine, which did pick me up a tad bit.
Shine on!!

Maybe it's different in rural areas like ours?
From what I read on FB's Ames People group, Metronet is not good at getting those buried or even touched after installation. Sometimes takes months for any action.

We live in Ames and got Metronet back in April. They had all the locates done prior. They wanted to come and bury the cable right after we had a .5". The pavement was still wet yet!! I told them no and they came the next week. They just took a straight spade and just buried it about 3" or so. Guess I better not aerate that part of the yard anymore.

Never seen it.

1983 film with Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy, H.S. kid hacks into the computer that the Dept of Defense uses and accidentally starts the count down to WW3. They go find the original programmer and stop it by playing tic-tac-toe the countdown stops because there are no winners.
It was a alright flick.
