Hello, my name is Sara...

"Hi Sara..."

And I *sigh*...I have not watched any Cyclones women's basketball this season until these past two games.

Shame on me.

Hey at least you caught two highly entertaining games. Thing is that's what the ladies did well all season rebound, run a offense(most of the time) play as a team. I always wondered since Prohm wanted to run a 4 guard offense why he didn't go across the hall at Sukup and learn how to do it instead of whatever the MBB team did this yr.

Feel terrible for the Twister Sisters. They left it all on the court last night, some questionable officiating may have cost them the game. (But the fourth quarter wasn't very pretty.)

On the bright side, next year should be even better!
I haven't followed WBB recently but watched most of the game last night.
How did they end up with 3 freshman starting? Was their some sort of gap in recruiting classes or was this class just that good?

That good. It is the top recruiting class in ISU history. We also had some gaps in there also. Maggie (freshmen starter last year) was also hurt all season. She will be a nice addition for next year.

EDIT: Kristen Scott was a starter (post) most of the season and has been dealing with back problems lately. Would have been nice to have had her for more minutes also.

Class is just that good. I'm not sure if the plan was for all 3 to start originally or if it ended up that way. Rae sort of got the short end of the stick but damn next yr could be fun if all goes right.

Yep MEM should fit in real well with the 3 freshman.

This group is that good. And to be fair, there were some holes there. But this is one of Bill's very best recruiting jobs IMO.

The All Iowa attack has gained its fitting again as a premier women’s AAU program. Their elite teams are top notch. At least two of the freshmen were on the attack. Lindsey Fennelly (medders) oversees the Attack.

I don't think daughter-in-law is on the staff of the Attack. Jones older sister is though. Good squad last year with four of them on the ISU and Iowa rosters.

Any time my son signed up for any attack stuff (camps, day things and such) it was through her. Maybe she is just with the boys side now or a manager position.

I am more than ready to have this program planned and not spend every minute of every day on a meeting.

Roughly random thoughts:
1. Kiddo's school provided a reading app that she adores. Somehow got set to personal rather than school account (because she reads at night, too), and timed her out at 2 hours. We looked it up yesterday, she reset it today, and now school is actually just beginning. She's been busy.

2. Listened to the Ames plans so far regarding remote schooling, and noticed immediately that they have kind of the same plan as this year, but maybe not, and don't really have anything planned but to say there's a plan. Like, when someone asked, they have no idea if it will require dedicated online faculty, and haven't even addressed it. I listened to that online thinking, "HowTF are these people making six figures? This is the most basic stuff." Of course, I'm not bitter to start with this week at all.

3. Z wants to visit Barnes and Noble after her Iowa City appointments again tomorrow. This time, she's starting to think of books to buy when we get there. I think we're creating a monster.

4. In her small group yesterday, two kids (as normal) just kept loudly bragging about how good they were at what the group was doing. They are, but it's so braggy. I was telling Z how fun it is to see her just plowing along, usually faster, while they talk about how good they are. Her response, "I don't need to brag." (Might have said "like" instead....it wasn't all clear.)
