Not that it really matters at this point, but if it was the federal eviction moratorium that was preventing the landlord from evicting, that really wasn't supposed to happen. IIRC, the federal eviction moratorium only prevented evictions on the basis of the nonpayment of rent.
In defense of the cave (and probably myself because I'm not always the nicest to some posters in there), I don't know that the cave is necessarily more toxic than outside the cave, especially when we have a bad loss or there's an active question of whether a coach should be fired. And even if it were more toxic, I think it's more understandable because politics actually matter. As much as I care about whether Iowa State wins or loses, it doesn't really matter if they do.
Also, I think the cave does a good job of showing who people really are. Not just in the sense of how someone treats others, but also what someone really believes. And based on their stated beliefs there are some absolutely terrible people on this website, and the cave helps you figure out who they are.
And in regards to the bolded, I would disagree that I don't understand that. I absolutely do. The thing is that I don't care. If I think that a poster is a terrible human being and I actively dislike them, why should I care that there's a wedge or barrier between us?
