Finished uploading nearly everything for the first half of the 8 week online course that starts next week. Just needed to do some intro videos. I worked out a quick and easy method this morning, planned to have that done tonight and then just race ahead.

Never mind. Course is cancelled. A little more advance notice wouldn't hurt there, DMACC Ankeny. Enrollment # has been steady for a few months now.

@CycloneErik, @cyrevkah if you guys are looking for something fun to do with Z, Reiman Gardens is having Spirits in the garden this wkend 1,000 jack o lanterns and science experiments and stuff. Sounded pretty cool and not very expensive $10 for adults 5 for kids.

We're hitting Night Eyes this weekend, but this could be a solid maybe. Z and I need to hit the butterflies before cold takes over.

I remember trying to look for more information earlier and didn't find it or something. Thanks for the reminder.

Speaking of awesome Z; she and I were talking about the two strands of LED lights in her room. One was essentially out and the other was still pretty bright. She asked why. I said I don't know. Maybe the other one uses less power. Z said, it must be the copper. It must use less power than the other strand. (Other strand looks silver). I love that she's trying to think these things through.

Going back to winterize my folks place in Dubuque this week. My BIL is giving me 6 quarters of venison that we will be processing. His only caveat is he wants 4 lbs of jerky and some venison summer sausage (my dad's special recipe).

The copper wasn't stolen was it? At our warehouse in Dallas, somebody climbed on top of the building, tore open the A/C, and took out the condenser because it evidently has some copper in it.

I think her teacher gave it to her. Not stolen.

That's insane. Need more security?

Not that it really matters at this point, but if it was the federal eviction moratorium that was preventing the landlord from evicting, that really wasn't supposed to happen. IIRC, the federal eviction moratorium only prevented evictions on the basis of the nonpayment of rent.

In defense of the cave (and probably myself because I'm not always the nicest to some posters in there), I don't know that the cave is necessarily more toxic than outside the cave, especially when we have a bad loss or there's an active question of whether a coach should be fired. And even if it were more toxic, I think it's more understandable because politics actually matter. As much as I care about whether Iowa State wins or loses, it doesn't really matter if they do.

Also, I think the cave does a good job of showing who people really are. Not just in the sense of how someone treats others, but also what someone really believes. And based on their stated beliefs there are some absolutely terrible people on this website, and the cave helps you figure out who they are.

And in regards to the bolded, I would disagree that I don't understand that. I absolutely do. The thing is that I don't care. If I think that a poster is a terrible human being and I actively dislike them, why should I care that there's a wedge or barrier between us?
With the eviction, the tenant wasn’t paying and that made it sticky.

with the cave, Ijust believe that even if the other person is a jerk I’m not going to let them drag me into the dirt. In person, I know people consider me difficult and probably even an ahole for some; but I’ve always done it respectful and never went personal or called name. I would rather beat their ideas and opinions. Also, you won’t convince the posters in the cave, but many lurk and those are the ones that you will drive away by doing that.

Awesome. Whether that is the actual cause she is right about the concept. Copper has a resistance of about 0.0172 (Ohms x square mm)/m while aluminum is about 0.0282 (Ohms x square mm)/m.

Always spring for the copper wire. In my opinion it is easier to work with and will give you the best results in the long run.

I'm getting dangerously low on coffee filters. I need to remember to pick some up at the store next time I go.

A sign of things to come this weekend. My high school Alma mater Nevada who was 7-0 faced Humboldt also 7-0 and Humboldt wins late. Humboldt's nickname, wildcats and even have the same logo as ksu.
