How big do the kids have to be? I was thinking this would be fun for my Lincoln granddaughters (14, 13, 11 & 8) but not if it's primarily for older kids.

They should be plenty big. My oldest was 6 or 7 at the time and he could have done more than the kid section and really wanted to, but we I think we only paid for the kid section and didn't budget the time to fit more in.

The 8 year old is pretty petite. The teenagers are taller than me, and as tall as their mother already (about five foot five or six). The 11 year old is nearly 5'. All of them are very slender...the oldest MIGHT tip the scales at 100, but I doubt if it's more than 2-3 lbs over that.

Small crisis here in retirement world. Somethings changed with my go to McGarvey Columbian blend. Been using this for years. Not tasting great now. Been noticing the display at Byerly/Lunds shrinking from the big featured coffee (with like 8 plus styles/blends in beans or ground) to just a foot of shelf space. Going to be shopping for a replacement I guess, Big local company that supplied restaurant coffee since the 1920's here, got bought out by Sara Lee a decade ago and bet it is finally getting killed. McGarvey used to grind/bag everything local.
I thought this was going to be a COVID story. Whew!

Yeesss. And I still have the card and my job. Unless you were talking about something else. Then never mind.
Nope...just remembering all the training, and all of the checks on usage that my department required, and wondering how that secretary in HDFS thought she was going to get away with using her P-card for personal purchases and cash withdrawals...

Well, she was young, and sometimes inexperienced people think the whole world is oblivious to them.

Plus, I imagine the declined charges didn't happen all at once, so she kept trying.

The only size restriction is to be less than 275 pounds. Otherwise the hardest course is for 12+ (with an adult for 12-14) and there are 2 courses that are 10+ (with an adult for 10-12) so they would be about the perfect age. We had two 8 yo, a 10 and a 12. I was the only one that did the hard course. The kids and adults were both tired by the end

We had an employee that got away for months using a corporate card for personal stuff.

It started out as simple stuff (that you could pass off easily in a construction company), and eventually he just kept getting away with it and got bolder and bolder. At the end he was buying stuff to renovate his house, maternity stuff for his wife, Omaha Steaks for family, just blatant stuff.

When it finally got realized (reviewer/ management issues), and one of the managers reviewed his purchase history, it was an instant termination i.e. they figured it out at 10 AM, and he was gone by 3 PM. They even had an Uber sitting outside waiting for him since he had a company truck.

People like to think they can hide inside the system or they simply get greedy.

Or a drug addiction or something requiring money.
No mention of drugs or addictions in the story. It DID reference needing to pay off a lawyer and other debts. But much of it was trying to buy gas, and other "in store" purchases. There are limits on what stores you can use an ISU P-card at, and strict rules on what can be purchased. Unless you have an "entertainment" option on yours, restaurants, hotels, etc are not permissable. The entertainment is typically used to pay for recruiting new faculty, admin level "events" and the like. Unless she was an upper level (Sec 3 or 4) secretary working for a dept chair or dean or other admin, it's not likely she had that option. And it's doubtful that she would be an admin level sec in her early 20s.

My thoughts skewed toward all the hoops I had to jump through to use my P-card (and I did ALL of the purchasing for the lab). I even had to take short courses on purchasing nitrate solutions and certain other chemicals that were considered hazardous.

Actually, Ms3 might have the entertainment purchase approval if she organizes meetings & all day seminars, etc, for statewide Extension gatherings.

Ya I've had a corporate card at a few different roles and we had 48 hours to submit receipts after the charge and then accounting rectified that with the online statement. I think the first time missing 48 hours was a write up and the 2nd was grounds for terming
