Random Thoughts 15: Crystal Clear 2021 Edition

Under the category of "My grandkids** don't need to go to college", I just ordered a big ass Nikon telephoto lens. Been out of stock for ages, dat worldwide supply** chain disruption 2020-2021. Good thing I am back into gym working out, thing is pushing 5 pounds which is pretty hefty for a lens.


** Updated from "kids" since I'm so old now. Used to take some people back who didn't get the joke and know I didn't have kids. I am ordering two little grandnieces small binoculars since they are getting into watching and ID'ing birds.

You'll be able to get wildlife close ups from a long ways away with that I would guess.

He has been amazed at how many are following his geo posts. They don't comment much, but one friend was very quick to correct him when he posted the wrong day number in his description. And I'm getting a LOT of flack from our friends about gravel roads. :D

Delta airlines can go pound sand. Went to go use the credit I had from the cancelled flights during march of 2020 (when covid let loose initially) and they force you to use their agent to use the credit, and then tell you since you use their agent, It is $100 person more. Total scam they have going.

Well, I did. Now they also have the T&H card, for travel and hospitality, and there was training for it, too, although when I took that it was before WorkDay was in place and no one really knew if everything they were planning it would be used for would actually work. I use it mostly for conference registration so far. Everything else is P-card based.

We just did this last week (DH's credit so I used his account for our reservation) and we didn't have any issues applying it online.
