You've made your position on his Packer-parting abundently clear; we get it - you don't like Ted or Mike. I'm not a big fan either, but the situation was never as simple as you'd like to make it. What is simple is that he's been a great influence on the Vikings and he's bending over backwards to fit in. Good for him; his performance both on and off the field is much improved...
And what did Favre do when he came back that same year? He said during training camp that it was his most talented team he had been a part of. They went 13-3.
Same reason 5 out of their first 8 were on the road. Not everybody's schedule can be perfectly balanced.

I was certainly not sold on Favre, but willing to take him, if for no other reason than to see Pack fans freak out. I was also really wanting to see what Sage could do. Oh well, it probably wasn't getting the Vikes to 10-1, sorry Sage.

And therein lies the greatest disservice Favre did Packer Fans; as you can tell from this thread, the hard-core fan-base is still greatly divided. Fans of NFC Rival Franchises (Vikings, Bears, Cowboys) can make merry with the situation, but it's not funny to long-time Packer fans...:no:
It is a business from both sides...and a 'star' driven entity.
Some people put way too much heart into the pro team they follow.
But I understand the split...my family in WI is divided right down the center.

In what way has Favre bent over backwards in Minnesota? I have not seen or heard of him doing anything different than in past years. He's fitting in perfectly because the Vikings are winning.
Say for example, Favre had the same exact stats/performance but the Viking defense was poor. There have been some 2nd half games where it looked to be a blowout and the defense collapsed, the offense had to save the day. Mark those down as losses because the defense collapse was worse and they lose a couple others because of defense.
I'd bet people would be ripping on Favre for losing the games and talking about how he's not fitting in. It's all about winning.
See, I don't see this as a disservice to Packer fans at all. Obviously, I'm a Cowboy fan. Emmitt Smith was no longer wanted by Dallas and went to the rival Cardinal team. Granted, that team was not very good (IMO, Emmitt was a tip of the iceberg for that organization adopting a leadership first mentality) but I didn't see it as a disservice to Cowboy fans/players at all. Dallas said "thanks, but we're done" and Emmitt wanted to play. Arizona wanted him. Done deal.
Minnesota is a perfect fit. Good defense. Solid offensive line. Great running back. Playmaking receivers that need a playmaking quarterback. Gets to play at minimum half of his games indoors. And yes, an added benefit is facing Ted twice a year.
But face it Packer fans, it's not all about you. He wants to play, a great team gave him an opportunity to do so and become one of the leading contenders to at least reach the Super Bowl. Pretty simple to me.
Reminds me of a kid that throws out an old toy Sunday night and then cries when the garbage man comes to get it Monday morning, crying foul.

Sorry, but I have to disagree with you. You can't say that any team, regardless of how they looked in the regular season, is better than a team that won the Super Bowl.
I was listening to some of the Viking postgame show last night (not pre-empted for ISU womens basketball!), and the two guys that host were comparing this team to the 1998 team that blew through the league and gagged in the playoffs.
They're peaking at the right time.

Watching the Saints game right now. What a match-up it would be against the Vikings, playmakers all over the place.
