An injured Rocco must be better than the two backups, as I think the staff puts out the QB who gives them the best chance to win.

He was dealing with something injury wise, I think that’s obvious, and WRs were the worst we have ever seen under Campbell.
Probably transfer to Arkansas along with Campbell.
Rocco is the team’s leader, hurt or not.
Not reallly a question of “better”. The coaches just aren’t willing to set aside that much leadership.
I don’t know. There have been some really dumb threads on CF. But it is certainly in the discussion.
There’s a lot that can happen during an offseason. Maybe Rocco gets gangrene in his throwing arm and it has to be amputated? That would be a scenario that maybe we’d look to the backup I guess.

You should have triple negative just to prove a point
If our defense would have been healthy, our kicker healthy all year, Rocco’s issues wouldn’t have been so magnified. It’s obvious he is hurt.
The real question is do we hit the portal to get a receiver that can catch the ball
If the others can’t beat out a less than 100% Rocco this season, won’t happen next unless Rocco leaves or is seriously hurt.

If the coaches are knowingly putting players out there that they think hurt the team, then that’s a problem.
But I don’t think they are.
I would hope everyone has to compete for their position, Rocco included.
The trouble with QB is within the NIL world framework, it's a value proposition. How much money do you think Rocco's gameplay is worth? That's the real question. Would you give him $2M, $3M, whatever the number is to stay, or would you let him walk if he asked for a huge raise to stay and put that same money elsewhere on the roster? Buy in another competitor? Maybe he doesn't ask and it's not a problem. Who knows at this point.
I tend to think this is the future of the position, though. You can't always put a pricetag on leadership, but you can try to put one on stats and results. Here's the money going into the QB position, what numbers are we getting out of it? How do they compare to others?

If CMC is going to let Rocco play while concussed, he’s not going for anyone else in 2026.
