I expect Lipsey to stay. I also think a backcourt of Lipsey, Heise, and Nojus will be really good, though different than Gilbert, Jones, Lipsey.

There will certainly be a transfer PG coming in, probably a SG/CG as well. I'm not sure this will be the guy.

I was skeptical of Niang and Morris. I'm not sure how Lipsey projects at the professional level, but I don't think he leaves early.
The thing about Lipsey in the league is that, like most smaller guards who make it, he has a ++ skill (on ball defense). The rest of his game may be a work in progress, from an NBA perspective, but that's something that translates to the league on day 1

If Fred VanVleet can make it, Tamin can. About the same build (Tamin's 1" taller)
I was going to say the same thing - but FVV should probably just be considered a unicorn at this point. Nothing about his college career would lead anyone to think he'd become what he has. Jalen Brunson too

Gilbert's ability to getting in the lane is going to be missed. Just looking at some of Warley's highlights, I see a similar approach to defense as well as driving the lane with contact.

The Hilton crowds should motivate him to excel better than the poor crowds in these videos

I would also venture a guess nobody would have thought hali would have had the success that he has has as well.

He was a lottery pick. If Lipsey is projected as a lottery pick he should declare for the draft. Does anyone even have him as a first rounder right now?

If they do they're nutso. I love the guy but I still don't understand the first-round All American/Big XII hype at times.

...didn't Tamin literally just win first-team all-Big 12 a few months ago?

You're definitionally on the cusp of an AA team if you're first-team all-Big 12.

There are legitimate concerns to have about his NBA potential because of his size, athleticism, and shooting ability by the ridiculously high standards of the NBA. But he's a magnificent college player.

This thread is SO CF.... We have played 2 games so far and we are already worried sick about losing everyone next year.
Discussing why TJ might want to land this kid for next year in a thread about him potentially transferring here =/= being worried sick about losing everyone next year.

Getting Nick Weiler-Babb vibes with Warley

I had thought similar things at one point.

Tall PG. Good defender. Does a lot of things well but no "leaps off the page" superpower.

Not the greatest shooter (career TS% of 53.3% is mediocre for a guard).

Warley is a bad 49.7% with even less of an outside shot, though.
