My wife of 13 years grew up in a hawkeye family. She still considers herself more of a hawk fan but she always cheers for ISU as well. Today is the first time she's ever worn an ISU shirt on a Cyhawk gameday. She was actively cheering for ISU during the game and complaining about the officiating when appropriate. I was almost in tears I was so proud.
Sounds like a typical Hawkeye bandwagon jumper

The real reason Iowa was exhausted was from all of their in game celebrations. How do you expect them to keep the same energy level when you gotta celebrate that much.

#3 was a clown. He was acting like they had a 25 point lead with 3 minutes to IN THE FIRST HALF. He high-fived a fan at one point lol.

It didn't take time for you to warm up. It took time for him to warm up. Fans expect way too much of new players right out of the gate. I can guarantee you he was nervous af in the first 5 games.

Cujo struggled first half of last year but second half and all of this year his advanced stats are similar to all of our all time legend players.

If I was just crunching stats and knowing he’s a great defender I’d say he’s 5th to 7th best player in big 12 on stats so far this year.

It actually calmed me down knowing he showed such obvious “gonna lose his Super Bowl” behavior.

The refs were actually way worse toward ISU second half when we outplayed them by 17.

That call late where Harding intentionally fouled Gilbert to stop a fast break and they called it out of bounds on Gilbert but it wasn’t even out of bounds…that could end up the worst call of the season. I mean that’s an obvious foul 99.9999999% of the time. He jumped on his back like an angry little goblin.
Do you happen to know where I can see this replay?

I didn’t have a problem with the officiating. We were way more aggressive in the second half, which we needed to be. Sometimes not fouling is a bad sign. For a rhythm team like Iowa it’s almost good practice to foul a little bit, disrupt that flow they get in to and stops ourselves from getting caught up in their game. Gives a moment to think and slow down.

After yesterday's great day of staying home from work, beating a cold, afternoon fun times, and beating Iowa, after testing negative for days, I've tested positive for COVID and will miss my neighbors awesome Christmas party. On top of that, I'm home with a pair of sick 5 year olds I suspect will test positive, and one of them puked all over my new Subaru (thank you for all weather floor mats and synthetic leather).

TODAY IS STILL A GREAT DAY
I feel your pain. I've been in bed with a nasty stomach bug since Monday night. I spent most of Monday night and Tuesday throwing up on 2 hour intervals. To make matters worse both grandma's who usually watch our 2 year old got the exact same thing.

So I've been stuck inside my house for 4 days now with an out of control 2 year old while my wife attempts to work from home. Then today DMPS is not in session so I have a 2 and 5 year old out of control while I attempt to recover from this stuff.

It was really just 2-3 plays where we earned a pretty clear and1 with no whistle and then the ridiculous out of bounds call when Harding jumped on his back. Basically we played through it anyway.

I think our guys going to the rim without any pretty standard and1 calls actually fed their fire a little.

First half you knew we were in bad shape because we were getting our butts kicked and even I wasn't upset with the officiating.

I'm watching it right now on the Fox Sports App. That's the last time I ever do that though, it won't let you fast forward commercials so this is extremely painful to watch. There's absolutely zero game flow before we get more useless commercials.

I recorded it through the YTTV library and was able to fast forward through commercials. May watch it again to see how many threes Sanford clanked in the second half.

In the highlights I watched iirc in the first half or early 2nd a Hok fan/player hit a three and held the 'three signal' below the waist on the way back. I think it was only still an 8 point lead at that point.

I didn't know having that small of a lead against a rival who rarely plays well in Carver (and still didn't) was a story book scenario.

It may have been one of many kisses of death.
