I was surprised that WV players didn't fall to the ground untouched and fake injuries during our field rush actually. That's what they're taught to do in games.
I was at that game & remember seeing a KU fan with a "Our coach can eat up your coach" t-shirt. That was gold but, unfortunately, the best part of the entire game.

I was there as well. Actually, we were down 24-0, before a last minute TD before half. We then scored in about a minute right after halftime to make it 24-14. I really believed we would come back right after that drive. We got the ball back and marched down the field but, alas, we couldn't punch it in and, not surprisingly, missed a FG. That completely changed the momentum and KU dominated from that point on. MISERABLE, MISERABLE day - and I thought Rhoads should have been fired right after that game!

For whatever reason I thought that year was our true...rebuilding year? And that the next year we would be back. So...we traveled to Toledo from CO to see us at a winnable away game. We lost. I proceeded to storm out of the stadium cussing Rhoads's name while Toledo fans walked near me in silence. I guess it worked out...we took their coach.
