My complaints aside (which are many) this is excellent exposure for the program. Especially to shrug off the defense only reputation. Showing up and lighting up the scoreboard has to be worth something in recruits' eyes.

So you don't think the players care about 20k extra cash a piece?Getting your panties in a bunch over $200 K in NIL money and complaining endlessly about the matchups Kansas drew is not “looking at the big picture.” It’s whiny, insufferable negativity.
You're in the minority judging from the comments in here and social media last night.Getting your panties in a bunch over $200 K in NIL money and complaining endlessly about the matchups Kansas drew is not “looking at the big picture.” It’s whiny, insufferable negativity.

It is what it is, but getting to compete against Michigan, Tennessee, or Gonzaga would have been alot more fun than beating up on some lower tier ACC team. That's just my opinion.
Definitely getting some press for how screwed we got lol.My complaints aside (which are many) this is excellent exposure for the program. Especially to shrug off the defense only reputation. Showing up and lighting up the scoreboard has to be worth something in recruits' eyes.
I'm not too worried about itYeah, I wouldn't call this a sure thing. We are definitely better than them but it's not a gimme, and perception wise it absolutely sucks. All downside and no upside.
That article must have been quite painful for ESPN to allow published.![]()
Players Era Festival to rethink format for 32-team event in '26

Iowa State did not get the opportunity to earn additional NIL compensation despite an undefeated record and the best collection of wins in the field.
I swear as the night went on last night the rules for the rankings were changing. Proportional to how many people were complaining on the internet.I was messaged by a media member, that wrote an article about it being pods. He said the media releases and info they all were given coming into the game said it was pod vs pod, not the overall like did. He said sometime after the first games they changed the rules and how it was going to be decided.
Sounds like some BS to me.
Not sure this team is the type to get boat raced by anyone when they're playing like this.If we had Tamin, I might agree. But once he went down, getting out of town 3-0 is a great result. Syracuse is still a great "name" to be whipping up on. Losing to Tennessee or getting boat raced by Gonzaga without Tamin would in no way be a better result.
There are lots of ads for Thunder from Down Under...You conveniently left out another thing Vegas is known for. LOL
Don't think so. They got shut out of the broadcastingThat article must have been quite painful for ESPN to allow published.
The way we just played is exactly how you deal with these kinds of situations. Great work by our guys. Here it is in a nutshell: Life isn't fair, but you have to deal with what's in front of you. Now go beat Syracuse by double digits.
Good TV time for you two today! There are lots of ads for Thunder from Down Under...
Hard pass. Who needs them when I have Lew?![]()
