Players Era

If the pod theory is correct, wouldn't we probably end up playing Gonzaga for 3rd?

I feel like this theory is wrong looking around the web, however.

To be honest, if its being in 4th playing Kansas, Or 5th and playing someone like Auburn, Maryland, Bama, Oregon etc. I will take 5th. I dont want to play a b12 team we are going to play at least 2 more times this year.

It does suck that the system is this way, and they are only paying bonuses to the top 4 though. If it was a true tournament I could understand but this is not a tournament, its some mutant form of something.

Sorry, I didn't think about the Zags lapping everyone...then it would be Tennessee as the above poster said (post I missed when posting this).

With no Tamin, I have no heartburn that we don’t make the top 4 and take a possible loss. Catch a slightly easier team and get out of town 3-0.
200k - $1M to the NIL pot for top 4 is not nothing though. Sucks how that's being awarded pretty arbitrarily.

Only 5 2-0 teams and they have +14 point differential.
We won’t play St Johns or Houston. Other than the finals and 3rd place game, they are going to select the matchups to avoid conference foes and repeat games.

Based on what? I’m not saying it’s not possible, but if we don’t know who will even play for the championship, how can you say this with any certainty?

How would we play St John’s again. We are 2-0 they’re 1-1.
If we finish as the 5th 2-0 team, we will play someone 1-1. But I doubt they put us against someone we already played, considering they are going to pick the matchups as they see fit for the non top 4 teams.
