How did CBS and NBC get screwed? I will repost two articles that address it.
Yes, Kevin Warren hosed up but the reason NBC attempted to unload the B10 CCG was they were unhappy with the Fox deal and wanted recoup a chunk of their money spent, it wasn't because of Warren's sorry eff up.
And CBS could have bid on the B12 and got more bang for their buck in the late afternoon window with the B12's #1 GOTW every week. Instead, they entered into a sublicense deal with Fox that they haven't been happy with.
And as previously posted for like the 10th time in this thread and you still don't get it => Fox is locked in as 100% rights holder as long as they own majority stake in BTN. Even you should be able to figure out that if the B10 had multiple bidders for their rights without sublicensing (to Fox's benefit), those rights would increase in value for the B10.
NBC gets a rare marquee Big Ten game this week as the network and CBS struggle with their new conference schedules.

Next year's Big Ten football championship, already a point of contention in the conference's media rights deal, could be on the move from NBC.
