Players Era

So was listening to a Creighton recap show, and they said the Tourney wants to avoid having a team that plays late tonight have to play early Wednesday.

So there is another wrench in the gear box.

If ISU plays Maryland might be tommorrow night?

I give up
I believe the consi games are Thursday.

If the money went to the AD, then I agree. But if guys are missing out on big paydays because the blue blood programs are getting scheduling benefits in these tournaments, is that going to hurt recruiting? Let’s say ISU wins tomorrow and goes 3-0. But another team also goes 3-0 and splits $1m because they played a team like ND instead of SJU. Wouldn’t you be interested in

I'm not sure what it will do to recruiting since it's been pretty obvious for several years that players could get way more money elsewhere.

So we’re not going to find out our opponent and game time until games are over today? Which would be around 1:00 in the morning. How do you prepare at all for that? Even beyond scouting an opponent, how do you prepare your team for getting ready for a tip time you don’t know before you go to bed?

One way to look at it, though, is the team knew that point differential was a thing and could have scored an easy 2 at the end of the game but didn’t so we aren’t completely victims of circumstance.

Which basically means they can fiddle with the schedule to make it so a late game tonight team will play thursday unless its the top 4.

If that’s the case and assuming they miss the money games, I’d bet they get Notre Dame

what's a gameday guru like me to do lol

If Players Era does take the top two from each pod (Arena) looks like it could be Gonzaga vs Michigan in the championship game. (Assuming they both win big) Then it would be Cyclones vs Tennessee in the 3rd place game. Hope I'm right. (fingers crossed)

In this scenario, Kansas would get left out :D

Disclaimer - Way too much conflicting information about the actual rules.
