There would be 6 2-0 teams. Why wouldn't we play the other one?Almost as dumb as playing Memphis in the Liberty bowl.

Name those six teams. I don’t see how six is possible at all. But I’m also simple. There would be 6 2-0 teams. Why wouldn't we play the other one?
He sucksSide note. Bruce Pearl is incredibly cringey as a commentator. For a few reasons.
To me this is nothing more than a chance at some Q1 games. The whole format of this "tournament" is laughable.
So we beat the 2 best teams in the Big East and that's still not good enough to be in the top 4? This whole thing sounds like a con job, which is not surprising given its in Vegas.
Hiring Pearl's failson isn't going to work out well for Auburn
No!Just found this:
"The primary focus of the consolation round is to provide teams with three guaranteed, high-quality games against different opponents."
Yeah, that's what Im thinking is going on. They promise this extra million or whatever for winning it but behind the scenes they have already pre-determined who even gets a chance to play in it.Seems by the matchups that the tournament knew who they wanted in the championship games and got that to work out for them.
Yea, we already own the Big East, Give me an SEC School so we are 2-0 against them. We'll take care of 2-0 with the B1G next week. Then we can settle down and take care of the Big XII.We aren’t playing St Johns again, or a Big12 school.
I don't think Creighton is a top 2 BE team.To me this is nothing more than a chance at some Q1 games. The whole format of this "tournament" is laughable.

My prediction is there are going to be some very confused and upset people in a few hours when the matchups are announced and the Championship and 3rd place matchups are by pods. There is no way with the NIL money component each school didn’t agree to something in writing before the tournament that included format etc. And any article before the tournament that included an explanation of the format and tiebreakers had the first and second place team in each pod playing in those games.
In a way they are by pods. Two different buildings/fields(pods), five 2-0 teams. Would have made more sense to have two less teams, and the only four undefeated teams in the 1vs2 and 3vs4 even with the weird point differential being the deciding factor. My prediction is there are going to be some very confused and upset people in a few hours when the matchups are announced and the Championship and 3rd place matchups are by pods.
