That's only for the consolation games. Championship game and third place game don't have that rule.It will be gonzaga then. Thought i saw something about not having to play a conference opponent in technically a non conference game

Only the non-championship games (champ and 3rd/4th) avoid conference opponents. It will be gonzaga then. Thought i saw something about not having to play a conference opponent in technically a non conference game
Was wondering this too, would that bump us to 3rd place game as well?what if st johns wins and michigan beats auburn?
That doesn't apply to the champ and 3rd place games. It will be gonzaga then. Thought i saw something about not having to play a conference opponent in technically a non conference game
3rd/4th game.what if st johns wins and michigan beats auburn?
If Michigan beats Auburn, then it's the same as if Auburn wins by more than 8. So in this case, third-place game.what if st johns wins and michigan beats auburn?
I assume Gonzaga is most likely going to destroy Maryland.I think that either pool play or reranked, the third-place game for ISU seems most likely (but not at all certain). A lot of variables for opponents, but I'd say either KU or the Zags are most likely.
Its going to be tough to make the top 4. We pretty much got screwed with our draw. If we played ND and Syracuse we probably would have maxed out our point differential. ******* KU.
Normally i would agree, but the pull for placing higher is driven by more prize money for the players by a higher finish.I'm not worked up if we play in the championship game or not, the small number of matchups will lead to the W-L and point differential not being a strong indicator of who's the best team. We'll play a quality team tomorrow sometime and it will be a fun game.
According to this, $500k for 2nd, $300k for 3rd, and $200k for 4th.What are the payouts? I know the winner gets $1M. But do the 2nd and 3rd place teams get some additional $ as well?
