Players Era

Another dumb aspect of this format is that even if we somehow smoke Creighton without Lipsey, Baylor and the Auburn/Michigan winner will know exactly what they need to win by to finish ahead of us since we're playing first. I don't mind something coming along and replacing traditional MTEs, but it's silly they're trying to pass this off as a "championship".
Disagree with worrying about this with all due respect. Control what you can control and move on.

That’s my read as well.
All though I don't know if it's one out of each pool or just top 2.

Gonzaga is probably guaranteed a trip to the championship. We could play Kansas or Houston possibly

Michigan is the leader right now is. Gonzaga plays Maryland so they need to win by 8 or less.

Someone smart help me out.

Who are we rooting for OR against in this tournament now that we've advanced to 2-0?
Looks like we want some combination of:

Tennessee loss & Houston win < 15
Michigan loss & Auburn win < 8
Gonzaga loss or win < 9 or Maryland win < 12
Kansas loss or win < 9
Baylor loss or win < 12

Can only have one of these not happen as there are two spots open. Kansas is up 10 right now so will be tough.

Can't find an official source, but here's a news article:

The team that finishes in first place in each pod will play each other in the overall Players Era championship game and the team that finishes in second place in each pod will play in the third-place game. Both of those games will be played Wednesday.

The teams in these games will not be re-seeded to avoid conference conflicts or repeating regular season games (like Alabama vs. St. John’s or Houston vs. Auburn). That’s because additional money is at stake in the championship and third-place games.

I think your signs are backwards, but agree on your analysis.

We are only competing for a spot in the championship with our "pool" so a lot of these don't matter. We need Baylor to lose to St. John's and Auburn to beat Michigan by less than 7 and we are in.
