We were in C5 and waited to leave Hilton until people cleared out. We were out of the lot within maybe 5-10 minutes. Don’t get how there is so much variance.
Was also in D5. There needs to be two lanes at the exit of D5 - one lane for smart people that turns right out of D5 going north and then through D4 onto University, and another lane for slow people that turns left out of D5 toward Jack Trice Way. But there are always people that block up the entire exit of D5 with their one car trying to turn left.Has anyone sent anything to the AD about this and if so, any responses? Last night was terrible again. Stuck in D5, not moving for over 30 minutes. There are cars going north, cars going south, all in the same lane of traffic.
Getting in was a little better last night, but nobody is checking the parking passes, nor do they have any idea if the lot is already full.
But taking 2 hours to get home for what should be a 45 minute drive (hour with game traffic) is seriously bad for my mental health. There are way more people for football and it isn't this bad.
Good thing it wasn't a big game with a lotta cars/people.We park in B1, to the west of Fisher Theater for mbb. We enter southbound from Beach and exit on Beach (turning right/north.) We always have to wait some to get out because of all the B1 cars coming from the north part of that lot. (edited to give directions)
Last night the traffic lights at the intersection of Beach and Lincoln Way were flashing red in all directions. No way for pedestrians to legally or safely cross either street. No officers or parking/security folks either. That was a first.
My suggestion if anyone in the AD is listening:
B1, C1, B2 & C2 forced to leave north onto Lincoln Way
A3, B3, C3, & D3 forced to exit onto Center Drive, left lane North and right lane South
C4 & D4 forced to exit out of the D4 exit onto University (with cones so they get one of the University lanes)
C5 & D5 forced to exit south onto Jack Trice Way
Jack Trice lots all forced to exit south to the light at University & S 16th
All it would take is communication to all pass holders (probably several times) and put up barricades with staff (so they don't get moved). By my count it would take 7 barricades. I would put cones up so that the D4 exit has complete access to the outside lane of University and anyone coming from the north needs to move to the inside lane. I'd also leave the 'back lanes' open out of C4 in case they want to flow into C3 or C5 because that is the hardest lot to get out of in this set up so they should have the most options.

How will the urinals be there?Traffic is going to be terrible! Let's just go hit CyTown for a couple beers and let the traffic clear.

Are they still leaving multiple empty lots?Has anyone sent anything to the AD about this and if so, any responses? Last night was terrible again. Stuck in D5, not moving for over 30 minutes. There are cars going north, cars going south, all in the same lane of traffic.

Attending the game against UCF on the 21st.....for an out of towner who will be in Hilton for a MBB for the first time in a long while, without a parking pass, any suggestions of where to park? Will take a look through the above for clues.
All basketball parking has a surcharge added if you leave at the under 4:00…Does @thisISnextyear have premium parking to sell for MBB?
