Just wondering what the heck our players do over the off season other than commit crimes.

It obviously isn't getting amply prepared for D2 opponents.

What is the purpose of these threads? Are people really dumb enough to think the players did absolutely nothing this off season football wise, or do they have some screwed up need to kick the program while it's already down?

I think it's to keep the board empty of any sort of intelligent discussion. People trying to be witty and funny while providing no logical discussion.

id like to have a strength and conditioning coach like Baylor has.. I know that all SC coaches get certified and usually know what they are doing. but just having a beast like that telling you what you should be doing has got to be reassuring that he knows his stuff..

I've been saying for years that I'm not sold on our S&C coach. Maybe that's why we hired two more full time SC in the off season? Who knows. Notice that every year one of these sites usually does an interview or two with Yancy on player development etc.. I didn't see one this year.

IMO the offseason workouts are just fine. To me it appears to be a lack of in season conditioning (including camp). Which generally is not a strength and conditioning decision.

One thing I have noticed through all this... not a single picture of a dumpster fire has been posted.

IMO, it is more of a mental issue. We are not mentally tough enough. Adversity struck on Saturday. Bundrage out on 4th play of game. Farniok out on second series. Cotton Moya out of game on Defense's 4th play for targeting. We lost 3 starters in a span of around 10 minutes. That is tough emotionally. Big play by Crockett. Offense not adjusting well to coverage changes made by NDSU. A turnover. And ISU is down at half-time to NDSU in a half we actually won everywhere but on the scoreboard.

The team laid down in the second half and some players either quit or just did not play their assignments and got out of position. Offensively we were nothing after Farniok left. The players need to toughen up. Also, the zone read sucks. Quit running it. Or run it sparingly.

Well according to CMo they don't have to use "straps" on their hang cleans so their preparation must be ruthless.

This. There is no reason why we can score two touchdowns with ease on the first two drives and then manage 60 total yards in the second half.
