Our offseason regimen

IMO, it is more of a mental issue. We are not mentally tough enough. Adversity struck on Saturday. Bundrage out on 4th play of game. Farniok out on second series. Cotton Moya out of game on Defense's 4th play for targeting. We lost 3 starters in a span of around 10 minutes. That is tough emotionally. Big play by Crockett. Offense not adjusting well to coverage changes made by NDSU. A turnover. And ISU is down at half-time to NDSU in a half we actually won everywhere but on the scoreboard.

The team laid down in the second half and some players either quit or just did not play their assignments and got out of position. Offensively we were nothing after Farniok left. The players need to toughen up. Also, the zone read sucks. Quit running it. Or run it sparingly.

This is a strong possibility. We looked like at the very least a decent Big 12 team in the first quarter before looking like one of the worst teams in college football the rest of the game.

Question? After a farniok went down last season when did he first return? What game?

i ask cause wasn't it late in the season? Or did he return midway thru sporadically?

I think he came back for the Okie State game. I recall that he was still clearly limping badly and had mobility issues. So that would have been like six weeks later, maybe? Not 100% sure, but I think it was OSU.

This coaching staff really struggles to make adjustments as well. NDSU made the necessary adjustments. We didn't. That's something that CPR has always struggled with.

Whatever the regimen may be, I'll just quote Lafester on it:

"Coach, your %#$# ain't working."

That's my view from the cheap seats.

We looked gassed and weak far too soon, in both halves. That and all the cramping and lethargic play leads me to agree with the substance of the OP, if not the tone. Someone who knows technically why this may be wrong can tell me so, but I'm seriously questioning the approach the S&C staff is using with the results we're seeing on the field.
