On That Note: I Got a Line on You

The Who, Won't Get Fooled Again

We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone

The Rolling Stones, Monkey Man

I'm a fleabit peanut monkey
All my friends are junkies
That's not really true

Hands down my favorite:

Well, I've been spending all my money on weed and pills, trying to write a song that will pay the bills, it ain't came yet, so I'll guess I'll have to rob a bank

(for some reason there's not a great Sturgill version so I went with the Posty cover)

Well, I'm here looking through an old picture frame
Just waiting for the perfect view

Okay, how about...

Ring! Ring! It's 7:00 A.M.!
Move y'self to go again
Cold water in the face
Brings you back to this awful place
Knuckle merchants and you bankers, too
Must get up an' learn those rules
Weather man and the crazy chief
One says sun and one says sleet

"They say "Love is more precious than gold"
Can't be bought and it can't be sold
I got love enough to spare
That makes me a millionaire"

The story behind this lyric is interesting. Per Gessle said it was inspired by a note his girlfriend (now wife) left on his piano that he found when he came home late one night. Thought that was a neat story behind how it inspired the opening line of the song he wrote.

"Hello, you fool, I love you"
