SDW, Thomas, Morris, and Naz are the real deal. I truly believe all 4 could start for any Big 12 team. All of them being at ISU is awesome. The only bad part is who is the odd man out?

Are you at the CCL? Man i didn't want to miss tonight but had to. Wanted to see MT, MM, SDW, NL, and all the other dudes

Yes it was a good time. Thomas and SDW worked great together. Had to leave early but Morris and Naz were going at it. Morris buried a last second 3 on Naz to end the first half.

There isn't an odd man out. All will play. If not this upcoming year, the next we could see three starting with the other being the sixth man.

CCL is a great indicator of performance during the season.

Signed,
Sean Haluska and Charles Boozer

Seriously though, glad to hear they look good - hope it translates this winter.

Hah!! That gave me a good chuckle.

And so starts the CCL summer hype. Even during the McD years we heard about how great our team was going to be based on the CCL and then we get disappointed in January.

Okay, if they could start for any big 12 team, ..... cool. But, seriously, was there any Big12 calibur defensive players playing defense against them tonight? Not doubting the post, just asking. Thoughts? On a less serious note: does this mean Wiggins for KU would have scored 100 in the CCL..kinda scary to think about, isn't it?

I don't know if Naz could start for any big 12 team unless he has improved greatly from last year. I didn't see the game tonight, how did he look?

Trying to keep myself from too much kool-aid, The one thing that I took away from the CCL tonight was that I am far less concerned about our young guards ability to shoot. Naz, Monte, Sherron, and Thomas were all stroking it from deep. Morris and Naz were guarding eachother. Bubu and SDW were guarding eachother. SDW wasn't just hitting wide open threes. He was hitting step backs and pull ups as well, and he was making it look easy. Haven't seen a shooting performance like that many times

Matt Thomas and SDW will both see a lot of minutes this year (obviously). I was very impressed with both their ball handling and movement to tonight...and of course the crazy shooting touch. just on a different level than the rest of the kids on the floor that game. Makes me really excited for this year.

Then there will be the lowering of expectations around the middle of the non-conference slate only to be equaled out during conference play.

Late December will be a lot of depressing posts. That's just what we do.

Our first conference game will open a ton of eyes, and we will ride the Kool-Aid Wave again all the way into the tournament.

Then we'll fret about our opponent, which is cool, because we have one. We'll play some thrilling games, and probably have a heartbreaking ending, because that's what happens for tournament teams.

Step away from the Kool-Aid.
