I think winning the series is the only way Joe keeps his job, especially if they win tonight. He challenges in Game 2 and the result is potentially different. Win the pair at home and move on. If they win tonight and lose Game 5 I don't see any way they hold on to him. The game 2 gaffe will weigh too heavily.
I think he's done an alright job but I don't think he's irreplaceable. Francona to me is the best manager in the business.
The Yankees are going to have some tough calls to make in the offseason.

Hopefully they let Todd Frazier/Jaime Garcia/Matt Holliday walk.
They have a slew of players arbitration eligible and I have my doubts they can pay all of them and get under the luxury tax threshhold for next year so they can go bonkers in free agency after next season.
