Uruguay is gonna make this last 10 mins very painful to watch. Every stoppage will take 3-4x as long as it should.

The game has been so physical. More yellow cards were deserved early on and it’s just become a fist fight now.

I know it doesn’t make for great viewing, but these are the games you live for as a player. Nothing gets the adrenaline up like Physical, borderline dirty games where your brain matters as much as your body. Gotta pull out all the little tricks.

I just wish the ref would have given cards out to stop the endless foul fest this has become. I don’t want guys sent off, I just want to let these athletes have some freedom of movement and not get taken down every time they get any advantage.

2 minutes of "injuries" during the 5 minutes of added time and the ref blows the whistle after 4:50.

Of course they're going to stall and fake injuries.

Fun PK Shootout to send Uruguay through. Brazil out again and their stretch of big tournament failures continues.

Edit: forgot they won Copa America in 2019, but that’s their only one between Copa America and World Cup since 2007 Copa. 2002 was their last World Cup win.

Testifying
Brazil hasn't been the same since Germany a decade ago have they?

That game has irreversibly altered their countries entire psyche.
Wrong. Brazil’s soccer decline started way before that. Most people hoped that the 7x1 to Germany would be the wake up call that the Brazilian soccer confederation needed, but unfortunately even that wasn’t enough.

Brazil relied on talent for too long and the game has caught up to them. The talent gap is not there anymore and Brazilian coaches have failed to evolve with the game. They need to hire a foreign coach that needs to focus on the Xs and Os. If they keep relying on talent alone then there it will be more disappointment.
