I'm glad players and prospects have more respect and higher expectations in our coaching staff than many on here.
Fred has shown that he can get elite transfers very late in the spring to mid-summer and surprise everybody. They have a lot of prospects lined up but they do their due diligence to limit the likelihood of situations like BDJ brought. There are also a lot of great prospects that haven't even announced their transfer yet, let alone gone through the vetting process. I'm glad they're busy recruiting rather than spending their time leaking info that will just get over-reacting responses by some.
We're in on several Top 150 HS players for 2016 and I expect to see some additional movement over the coming months on that front. Everybody worries in April and May around here, but by June and July the hype train takes a second lap. While some of what we're hoping to land might not come to fruition, we have 8 open scholarships in the next 15 months and the staff absolutely has a plan to make sure they're filled with the best possible athletes this side of the pond (and maybe beyond).
While I'm incredibly realistic (i.e. don't ask me about football), I also have the luxury of knowing things to put me at ease that aren't yet - and may never be - public. Since not everybody has that luxury, please just take a Xanax, sit back, and worry about other things you can control (yes, that coming from a diagnosed OCD worrier). The sun will come up tomorrow and ISU MBB has never been on a higher or better trajectory.
