Sulaimon won't be able to play next year though. I think he was dismissed after the start of second semester.

I guess the rape allegations were just rumors.

I did read about how selfish he was and that he kept getting into it with Coach K over playing time. Hopefully, the experience of watching his team win a title without him has humbled him.

I think it's more likely subtraction by addition for Maryland. An alleged rapist and apparently had a horrible attitude. The attitude thing is a risk by itself but can you imagine if he gets accused of rape at Maryland? That kind of thing could cost Turgeon a job and AD as well.

Dang, Maryland is going to be stacked next year.

Speaking of a team with depth. How would they even have a strong need for him? We talk on this site about a transfer not wanting to come here due to lack of playing time, yet Maryland picks up another player when the only real starter they lost was Dez Wells. Must say they (Turgeon & all) do have it going well.

It appears Maryland isn't as worried about team chemistry as ISU.

The allegations far outweigh the other aspects in my opinion, but I know nothing about the situation, so I will leave it there. As to the attitude, I am sure that he learned something from watching his team go on to great success without him.

I wouldn't be so sure.

not the same

I was not comparing Kane and Royce to Suliamon. I was referencing knownothing's post that put BDJ in the "that type of people" category. I was inferring that, at one time, Kane and Royce weren't exactly model citizens, and were in the same category as BDJ.
Maybe turgeon will learn the bdj's of the world might not be worth it

Now imo, Suliamon is a different type all together. His accusions, and the fact that he was the first to be booted from a coach K team, do seem to be worse than most.

However I think we need to be careful who we prematurely judge, because our program has, multiple times, shown that we will take a chance on a player with a questionable past.

Looks like Johnathon Williams III is now allowed to transfer to any Big 12 school but still no SEC or Arizona, per Seth Davis.
