I would not say its about playing time its about everyone else following the rules, and this guy seems to get several chances. At some point you gotta have the stones to cut bait.

You may be right, but I'm quite certain Prohm is not going to kick him off the team on March 2nd.

I haven't heard anything, but with the certainty that he would be back for wvu, I can't imagine it was a giant deal.

It didn't have anything to do with the outcome of todays game but I'll say it again. This teams needs a change and Wigginton needs to start for Tyrese

Jacobson too. Why Prohm refuses to start our best players is baffling at this point. We get behind early and have to rely on Wiggy and Lard to get us back in the game. How about actually start those guys and build a lead for once.

Just a quick refresher. Obviously no team is equal for each season, but the Irwin Center is a history of horrors for Iowa State. Our 2001 league winning team lost by 16 there don't forget.

We have a record of 2-14 in Austin since Texas joined in 1996. Average margin of loss: 12. Six losses of 15+. Three losses of 20+.

Fred won once there. Prohm hasn't won there. We've won 1 time in the last fifteen years.

I always wonder how Prohm would have dealt with Kane or BDJ. He couldn't get along with McKay. I appreciate him wanting to help his players become better men, but they don't all need to be choir boys to be good representatives of our school.

Sometimes I think Prohm has some growing up to do too. Problems are rarely one sided and if you never consider how you contributed to the problem you are either really arrogant or very immature.

I don't know what Lard did, but if he's really a bad dude Prohm needs to cut him loose. If he is not then Prohm needs to make an effort to find common ground with him.

There are obviously some bad takes whether you are critical of the team or not. But the team has looked absolutely lost as of late, and dont appear to have a game plan or play with much heart.
But if someone comes on a message board and questions a coach making over a million dollars a year then they are apparently a bad fan. Whether you agree with someone or not, isnt the point of a message board to come and give your take? The holier than thou takes on here are ridiculous.
Actually, the holier than thou attitude also comes from those who feel completely free to criticize the coaches, or the players, or the fans, or the facility, or the management, but feel they should be completely immune to criticism themselves. That's not just holier than thou, that is incredibly self righteous.

Are those the same computers that had us picked as the favorite to win the league a couple weeks ago? I'll trust the eye test this time. We aren't half the team the computers think we are.

Sure they run all kinds of probabilities and no where was ISU a 100% guarantee.
You can trust your eyes and the focus on 2 or 3 games, or be selective to focus on the losses.
That is your right

But when you take into all games team is pretty good, not great but good, Like 60 or so of the other teams that will go to the NCAA;s

Prohm: Three weeks ago, we’re 18-5 and 13th in the NCAA (ratings.) You didn’t see anybody really talking about that. You just have to stay the course. I’m as frustrated as can be because we’ve been playing bad.

I know LW is making some mistakes, but so is everyone else. He needs to play more

He literally lost fabres on 5 of his 3’s. Christ, prohm lost his mind at him twice.

Today was effort. Texas has mailed it in, and we go out and not play hard. Prohm kept the team in the locker room until there was a minute and a half left before sending them back out. Then they immediately lose fabres again on the press

This seems to be a minor infraction. I don't want to be cold and kick the kid to the curb either.

But as people question Prohm, if you are setting up a game plan during the week that, given Lard's success against Texas, that featured Lard more, only to have to suspend him prior to the trip, its gonna affect the team.

Now the positive is Conditt, played well, and they don't beat Texas today with Lard. Still cannot help but think this event kind of messes with some of the chemistry. Maybe I am over thinking it

You know that is just a generalization to try to make your opinion feel superior. It doesnt make someone an inferior fan if they feel Prohm is doing a bad job. Even if you don't agree with it. That is the point of a message board. It would be pretty boring if everyone had the same take on something

Then stop disappearing when we win.

Do you think maybe he was trying to find common ground after not kicking him off the team after getting arrested?

Did you feel confident lowa St would win today? I sure as the hell didn't. I was about 50/50, even after the Lard suspension. Which is exactly what the line was.

Should they have gotten blown out? No, that was disappointing. I wish they would have shown more fight, but I'm sure it's deflating to see texas make so many 3s.

They gave up 1.41 points per possession. We are now in the 50’s in defensive efficiency for Kenpom. They have lost their identity. We have a week to fix it.

We just have different opinions that's all. I place a majority of the blame on Prohm and I voice the fact that it doesn't appear we have a gameplan.

You seem to spend a lot of time complaining about the crowd and student turnout. I have no problem with someone who doesn't want to blame Prohm, but go through any postgame thread and see how many times someone who questions the coaching staff is called an idiot, drama queen, prohm hater, chicken little, any number of ***** type names, or told to go cheer on another team just because they question prohm.

Well WV is not an offensive juggernaut so hopefully that will help :)
But we definitely need to force more turnovers.. Just stale on D right now.

Honestly, I think 5th is about where this team belongs. I think the hot start made everyone think much higher, but they’re just too inconsistent.

Hopefully they get focused for the tournament.

You mean the 2-2 hot start in the conference? Basically this team has been up and down all year. People overreacted to the KU home win, which turned out to be nothing all that special. Today was extreme, but ISU has had some really good and pretty bad games spread out through the season. Prior to today our largest margin of defeat was in Dec. Our worst loss in terms of team strength is still Arizona way back in Maui. This team was BAD against Iowa. Very impressive wins in Jan and Feb.
