*** Official Selection Sunday Thread ***

Texas and NC State play Tuesday at 9:15 pm ET in Dayton.

Winner hops on a plane for a Thursday 4:25 pm PT game in Portland, against BYU.

Good luck.
Honestly, it should be inconvenient and tiring, as the play-in game winner seems to have an advantage (at least to me) by getting the first game jitters out of their system early.

Nothing wrong with it, but it's also by far the worst schedule of the four Dayton winners.

UMBC/Howard - Tuesday 6:40 ET, winner plays Thursday 7:10 ET in Buffalo
PVAM/Lehigh - Wednesday 6:40 ET, winner plays Friday 9:25 ET in Tampa
Miami/SMU - Wednesday 9:15 ET, winner plays Friday 4:25 ET in Philly

We are passionate and will show out for sure but BBN is a thing.....Kentucky has an absolutely enormous basketball fan base and they are technically closer to STL than we are.
I predict if we get Kentucky in the second round it will be about equal in fans, or they will have slightly more. I’ve witnessed Kentucky fans in person and they swarm. I also suspect some cyclones might be saving their money for later rounds in the belief that there’s a good chance. The tickets right now are super high for St. Louis. I’m guessing it will be a true neutral court environment.

Ok, stuff is getting real.

Our Iowa State Cyclones are ready for the Run of a Lifetime!

These odds for them to advance are low!

Sweet 16 -400
Elite 8 -130
Final Four +245
Final Game +700
Champions +1500

To put it in perspective, we have better odds to reach the Final Four than every other 2 seed. Houston is +250!

3 4-team tournaments.

TJ and the Boys are ready!

Go Cyclones!

I kinda prefer when the odds are against us, but that works.

Doesn't sound like their fans are confident in making it past Santa Clara. Also saw one mention that their biggest weaknesses are giving up offensive rebounds and turnovers so those seem to align pretty well with our strengths. Their length and general talent still scares me even though it hasn't all come together for them yet, all it takes is one game where it clicks.
