Doesn't sound like their fans are confident in making it past Santa Clara. Also saw one mention that their biggest weaknesses are giving up offensive rebounds and turnovers so those seem to align pretty well with our strengths. Their length and general talent still scares me even though it hasn't all come together for them yet, all it takes is one game where it clicks.

Good thing is if Santa Clara beats UK, there’s gonna be a lot of cheap tickets for the second round. That would certainly feel like a game in Hilton.

Not necessarily. The other game for the Sunday session might be Missouri-Purdue.

I bought standard (non-resale) tickets for Sunday a few weeks ago, hoping (expecting?) we would get sent to StL. First game can be watched on the tube.

Exactly. Columbia and West Lafayette are the two closest cities of all the teams in St. Louis. St Louis produces A LOT of Missouri students/grads.

Well half the arena will be cyclones. Also Kentucky fan enthusiasm isn’t too high right now.
Whatever it's worth, watching '2 Guys' right now, and they think a Sunday ISU/Kentucky game would have more Kentucky fans in the stands. I still like ISU being in St Louis, but in terms of crowd (and cost of tickets), it's the worst 7 seed draw.

Well they aren’t the brightest. Kentucky might have more fans, but it won’t be by much if they do. It’s not going to be a major factor.

I always listen to sports radio in the car, and on my way to work a little bit ago one of the guys picked ISU, Houston, Duke and Arizona in the Final 4 with Arizona winning it all.
Nope…Iowa State wins it all after beating AZ in the F4. Going 1-2 against them but getting the NC would be perfection.

I gotta listen to the Austin MN channel again. I strangely had it on and one guy there picked the ISU upset of OU in football when Kempt started.

How the hell did Mizzou get in...let alone a 10 seed with a NET of 58 and losing streak of 3 to finish the year

If Kentucky was a 2 seed yes a lot more fans. Right now they aren’t too thrilled with their team. I would say that cuts down on their attendance by 15 or 20 percent.

Not sure if I am correct but Tennessee State at roughly 300 miles is closer to STL than Ames. No other 15 seed plays within 1,000 miles of their campus.
Kentucky is slightly closer to STL than Ames and no other 7th seed plays closer than 600 miles from their campus?
