A reminder that the computer program that does the actual bracketing isn't out to get Iowa State and it doesn't care about stories and matchups. Geography and bracketing principles are what they are and it's especially weird this year with 13 or 14 SEC teams making it.

If Drake is an 11 and ends up in Milwaukee, it's because it's also the closest site to them and it didn't violate any other bracketing rules somewhere else in the bracket.

No it's because the media loves occasionally tourney team Drake.

I’m going to need to go through the code line by line before I believe they haven’t programmed anti-ISU bias into the thing.

Posted this in another thread, but moving it here as this thread is more relevant.

So far in Bracketmatrixes updated today, 24 have us as a 3 seed and 9 have us as a 4 seed. And the ones that have us as a 4 have A&M as a 3, which I find unlikely.

So… I’m cautiously optimistic

Also seems pretty clear Wisconsin played their way to a 3 seed. So the overall seed line between us, Kentucky, and Wisconsin will determine if we go to Milwaukee. If we’re behind those two, I think we’re Denver bound. I don’t see any other sites as a realistic possibility
