That’s some straight up BS. ISU was a borderline 1 seed and by being the 2 in the same region as the overall number 1 it means the committee sees us as the worst 2 seed.
Basically what they are saying is the conference tournaments don’t matter. Might as well just do what Kansas did and sit it out.
In my opinion the committee places too much stock into early cupcake games. The fact that y’all were the last 2 seed is wild. And Illinois sucks as the potential 3 seed. I’m sorry. Go to the final four to stick it to the committee. UConn hasn’t played a defense like Iowa State
