Unfortunately I think this may be an uphill battle for us and we have a few things working against us - 1. they're bringing in DJ Lagway (who I think is overrated, but he's got the "stars" behind his name), 2. They're bringing in 2 (former 4 star) WR's from the portal and we're bringing in four, so he may see Baylor as an opportunity to play sooner. 3. He's from Texas 4. Aranda offered him out of high school and 5. As we know, Baylor pays their players (jimlad)

I don't think a (jimlad) is warranted here. Those "Baptists" down there worship the god of sports above all else - they will make sure that a lack of funding will NOT be an issue.
Didn't see it posted anywhere, but I noticed we lost a few more to the portal on Monday.
If this is James Frankin’s burner account, he is going full bore against Campbell.
Is it just his Top 25 favorite players? Because Rocco is definitely in the top 25 QBs that were in the portal, and Brahmer might just be the top TE for all I know.
I don’t know if he is talking about just the portal or the top ones in college.
I think we don’t stand a shot, due to him being from Missouri City which is just under 3 hours from home.
I'm not sure where this person is getting their information from. With all due respect, neither of those guys are top 25 guys out of the portal, and, Rocco and Brahmer are both better than anyone we've gotten in the portal. That's not even counting Jeremiah Cooper who was widely considered a top 3 CB in the portal, or Marcus Neal who is one of the top DB's in the portal. Wishful thinking, but not accurate
Not everyone in the transfer portal expects to be playing D1 when they move. The portal applies to all NCAA institutions, and not only to football, so these kinds of shock statistics do not mean a whole lot.
The post specifically said football players. And it means exactly what he’s getting at. There will be several thousand players who at best have to drop down and many will be out of football.
I could see us being done at RB, we've got Ryver Peppers, Jayden Jackson, Aiden Flora, Cam Pettaway, and Salahadin Allah. However, there are a couple unsigned RB's in the portal that were offered by JFR last year at WSU:
- DJ Dugar JR Okie State
- Travon "Hankey" Pankey Wazzu (could see them bringing him in)
Something I found interesting, is that Dylan Lee was offered by JFR when he was at SDSU, kind of surprising Lee didn't stick around.
I know there was all the angst over Campbell poisoning the well when he left and what not but it's incredible to me that 55 guys all decided it was preferable to enter the portal instead of some of them trying it out with the new staff. I'd like to someday know the whole story behind it.
