Until MC’s departure, we were in the golden era of Cyclone athletics. As a CC and WW donor, I felt like I got a good “return” on my “investment” in the AD. It’s been a hell of a fun ride!
Same. Agree.

Plenty of central Iowa businesses rely on Iowa State athletics (whether they realize it or not.) ISU athletics is a worthwhile investment. There's a lot dumber things I see people waste money on that don't help a local economy whatsoever. Like...a lot.

I have a Cyclone fan friend who doesn't donate, doesn't have season tickets, really just takes free tickets when available from others and never purchases anything while at the events.

He spends money on cigs, casino, scratch off tickets, dumb ebay/fb marketplace/amazon purchases etc. but yeah...he would never consider cutting out those toilet flushing money expenditures and instead giving it to ISU (it's his money, not saying he has to) but then he turns around and b*tches about coaches leaving because of NIL or players leaving, lol...I have to tune it out as someone who does donate and supports ISU financially as much as possible.

I would encourage everyone to look at Indiana's 2024 transfer portal class. Not a ton of P5 guys or even 4 stars by 247 standards. I think a lot more goes into coaching than people think. https://247sports.com/college/indiana/season/2024-football/transferportal/?institutionkey=24040
Totally. Iowa State (and Iowa) will always be developmental programs.

It's all about coaching, training, and getting the most out of 3* players. 3* hard working, well coached players consistently outperform 4* recruits who aren't coached or developed properly.

Yep. Plus there are way more 3* kids than 4*. Nobody can live off only 4s and 5s.

I fear you're correct. He gets this year but patience runs out if there isn't noticeable progress.
I watched a lot of Drake games when he was the coach. Very undisciplined play, and terrible offenses. How he won b2b Pioneer titles I will never know.

Question, when Kayden Procter acted like he committed to Iowa, and got paid cash, did he give the cash back when he went back to Alabama
As people said in this thread already, he did take the cash, but I have also heard the cash he was paid was paid to him already by Iowa just to show up for spring practice, and then he dipped. It sounds stupid, but it's true
