When am i going to get payed my NIL as a fan? After praying, thinking, and consulting, I have decided to enter the transfer portal. I thank ISU athletics for the joy they have brought me, and wish them luck in the future. I am commiting to ohio state.
Don't go to the darkside!

Sorry, your reward for being a fan of college teams is a relentless push for you to donate more and more every year (and it's still not enough you bum). If you don't, it's your fault they aren't good and you must shut your mouth.

It's a lot of fun.

If CF continues to post each abandonment on social media platforms, I won't be part of that indiscretion. It's ok to advertise CF as the source of portal activity, but when there are 10 times more single posts of people leaving vs what's coming in, that's just plain stupid social media strategy. It depicts Iowa State in a VERY poor manner. Put another way, it in no way is helping Iowa State or the new coach. Use some class, discretion and/or restraint and do what's best for Iowa State.
So just pretend its not happening and don't report the news because its bad? That's an astonishing suggestion.

Probably not, but why would he do that? The best advice to any player is to meet the coaches and check their options and find the best fit for themselves.
Maybe Campbell told them all to leave
Maybe Rogers told them all to leave.
Maybe they don't like the new coaches.
Maybe they think they can get more money elsewhere.
Maybe all their closest friends left and they want to find a better spot.
Maybe they will still consider Iowa State but we're told by the new coaches to look around and find their best fit whether it is Iowa State or another place.

I would imagine the vast majority of us don't know the actual truth. Almost all of us (including me) jump to our own conclusions.
Maybe Jimmy will be the next Cignetti.

I was kidding. I guess I didn't make that clear enough

Started watching Two Guys this morning.... and CW starts off talking down to the fans basically and saying they don't understand how everything works like he does. Then he gets all teary eyed again when Hassel brings up Brezina leaving. And then to top it all off... Hassel starts bringing up AGAIN how JP should have hired Mouser. WTF? I turned it off. Maybe I'll watch the rest later if I feel like I can stomach it.

If anyone honestly believes they should have hired Mouser.... they are kidding themselves... and still are too in love with Matt and his staff.
As much as I like CW it doesn’t outweigh my dislike for Hassel so I very seldom listen to Two Guys

Some were ragging on today's 2 guys episode earlier in the thread. I listened to the whole thing and I think the Mouser debate is and will continue to be interesting to evaluate.

I'm a HUGE proponent of Coach Jimmy over Mouse. But....

Is building a program really a thing you can do anymore? Or is each year an individual effort?

If the latter, I can see how keeping someone to steady the waters and keep a very talented offense in tact could be viable for 2026.

I'm excited for the rebuild. But if successful, do we just get raided again? Blum & Campbell were great at getting people to stay for less.

If Jimmy is better at everything else as a head coach, but can't do that, are we forever doing this ****? I hope not.

I learned this lesson long ago and it has served me well: “Anytime you don’t know the answer to something, the answer is usually MONEY.” No doubt some looking for playing time or don’t fit CJR’s schemes, but the vast majority have an agent in their ear. Players know Iowa State’s NIL limitations. That’s it.
This is correct.

This might be overly optimistic, but I’m guessing they start 2-4 and end up somewhere between 5-7 and 7-5.

That’ll be pretty damn good, all things considered.
I'm on board with this. I see a lot saying 4-8. I know it's possible but I'll be a little disappointed if that's where we end up.
