And those people are idiots.I'd bet you wouldn't have to search very hard to find some Ohio State fans calling for his job after the Oregon lost.
Wasn't that his first ever regular season loss?

Those "fans" are out there, everywhere. But, I'd put the mainstream OSU fan's loss limit at +/- 3 losses per year (including a bowl game). Heck, even Nebraska will let a coach stay averaging 7 losses per year.I'd bet you wouldn't have to search very hard to find some Ohio State fans calling for his job after the Oregon lost.

I don’t know that he would win but that move the needle from an interest stand point. Seems like Jerry Jones kind of move if they hired him.Deion Sanders in LA would be amazing.
If I am a coach at a Power 5 and USC calls me after firing a coach 2 games into the season and asks me if I'm interested I simply laugh until they hang up the phone or I give them a run down of how they've handled their last so many coaches and then laugh until they hang up.
And I record it so when they deny they offered me the job I can further make them look stupid.

Or Penn State when their coach goes to USCMichigan or Michigan state
There is enough of a h.s. talent pool in California to win National Championships at SC.Both Southern Cal and Nebraska have ravenous ....WIN HUNGRY....Fanbases, who continue to dump coach after coach.....Both will eventually Luck Out and find a coach who can win a conference title for them but not much more!!
Franklin is a perfect fit. He has won at a big time program and has an LA type personality.

I think he could get the ball rolling there pretty fast.He has the record, personality, and ego for USC. I can't think of a more qualified candidate.
Now. Solich went 7-7 and they lost their minds. They renamed highballs Solichs' cause it was so unacceptable! (But tasty) Bo got canned for winning 9. A certain segment of the fans recognize all this and admit the works is shot and they should hope for ISU like success at this point. They are quieter though. Those "fans" are out there, everywhere.
