had a big feeling of dread about this game. woe is me sucks to be a cyclone sometimes. AND IT DOES!
but there are other guys that can get this done. toure letting it all hang out, double double. tamin taking out players with his brass ones. pleta taking out players with his superior positioning. and heise is a DAWG! We've got mommy in the clock tower sniping 3s. no better time to give those blue bloods a big ish burger to eat!

The 30 minutes in between games is going to be so long. Especially with the looming Kentucky ball gagging that’s going to happen.
I hope the officials are as favorable toward 2 seed Iowa State as they are for 2 seed Purdue.

This game is in our guards' hands and was always going to be in our guards' hands.
UK is serviceable defensively, but far from elite (109th in defensive efficiency, 57nd in opponent 3pt defense, 240th in forced TO/possession). Thus, perimeter scoring and drive-to-the-rack opportunities should be there for the taking.... if our backcourt can convert.
Offensively, UK is 52nd in offensive efficiency and 68th in TO/possession: again, not bad numbers but there should be opportunities harass and disrupt UK for poor shots, TOs and run outs... if our guards can play to the elite level we know they can.
I’m so nervous for this game, but the winner of Virginia and Tennessee worries me just a bit more.
Either way, one foot in front of the other and handle business today. If the crowd can be loud, that would help. That Nebraska game felt like a home game for them last night.

I actually think playing Virginia or Tennessee in Chicago next week will be easier than this game
This ISU team will crush Tenn or UVA. Which is why there is so much nervousness for today. IMO a win today almost guarantees an E8 spot
Obviously you have to play the game still and anything can happen but feel real good about whoever the S16 opponent is. Just have to get there
feelings and an endless array of facts about the ncaa tournament.
Nervous that Kentucky is gonna come out and punch us quick, if they don’t do that then I’ll feel good about outcome
